Shedeur Sanders not among the finalists invited to New York for the Heisman Trophy presentation. Thoughts?
- Doesn't really matter. You know that Shedeur will be there, and will likely finish fifth in the voting. Whether he does or doesn't have extra attention before the announcement is irrelevant (49%, 110 Votes)
- Not pleased. Shedeur had a better season than either Oregon's Dillon Gabriel or Miami's Cam Ward. If it wasn't for Travis, Shedeur would have been there - he deserves the honor of an invitation (26%, 58 Votes)
- Actually, I think this is a good thing. One reason to fear that Travis wouldn't win would be if voters were splitting their votes between Travis and Shedeur. Doesn't sound like that happened (25%, 55 Votes)

No. 20 to face No. 17 BYU in the Alamo Bowl. Thoughts?
- I like it. Better to face BYU than Iowa State. After the Cyclones' 45-19 loss to Arizona State in the Big 12 title game, a win over BYU will be more impressive than a win over Iowa State (45%, 136 Votes)
- Not a fan. I know that CU (and BYU, for that matter) is stuck with the "CU is a Pac-12 team" bowl affiliations, but saner heads should have come up with a more attractive bowl matchup (29%, 88 Votes)
- I would rather beat BYU next October or November, 2025, than in a bowl game to end the 2024 season. I guess a win will help establish CU's place in the 2025 Big 12 pecking order, but little else (26%, 75 Votes)

Which bowl game would you prefer to see CU play in later this month?
- Don't care. I'm just happy to be living in a time when CU will be going bowling for only the third time in 17 seasons. We get to see Shedeur and Travis one more time ... I don't care where (44%, 150 Votes)
- The Holiday Bowl. CU hasn't played in a bowl not named the Alamo Bowl since 2007, and it would be nice to get to San Diego ... and not have to play a Big 12 team in a bowl game (38%, 127 Votes)
- The Alamo Bowl. It's the higher ranked bowl, and CU recruits Texas. A game against BYU or Iowa State will keep the players' interest, as the unofficial kickoff to the 2025 season (18%, 61 Votes)

Buffs win Offensive and Defensive Players of the Year, with 13 total All Big 12 honorees. Which is them most impressive stat:
- That Travis Hunter is the first player in Big 12 history to be first-team conference on both the offense and defense (and a unanimous pick at cornerback). Give the man his Heisman, already! (58%, 116 Votes)
- That CU had 13 players honored overall, the most since the 2016 team (16 honorees), and quite the bump since last season (when only four Buffs were honored as All Pac-12) (24%, 47 Votes)
- That with Shedeur winning the Offensive POY, and Travis wining the Defensive POY, it is only the third time is school history (1989; '90) that CU has won both honors in the same year (18%, 36 Votes)

Other than quarterback Ju Ju Lewis, which of the following freshmen do you believe will have the greatest impact at CU?
- Defensive lineman London Merritt - A consensus four-star recruit, Merritt is an edge-rusher trained at the IMG Academy. Merritt will be a beast in Rob Livingston's defense (48%, 127 Votes)
- Offensive lineman Carde Smith - A consensus four-star lineman who took his visits with Ju Ju. Along with Jordan Seaton, Smith will help turn the offensive line into a strength (40%, 104 Votes)
- Wide receiver Quanell X Farrakhan, Jr. - A consensus four-star wideout from Texas, Farrakhan has all of the tools and speed to be the next great receiver at CU (12%, 31 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
