My take on adding Charleston-Southern to the schedule
  • I'm okay with it. Sounds like it was the best deal available. (55%, 152 Votes)
  • Great move! A likely victory, and it counts toward a bowl bid. Win/Win! (35%, 97 Votes)
  • Should have found a way to get an FBS team to Boulder. Fans won't be as happy when a crowd of 20,000 is all that shows up (10%, 29 Votes)

My reaction to the firing of Lane Kiffin at USC ...
  • Not a surprise. Kiffin has been on the hotseat almost since the day he was hired (47%, 114 Votes)
  • I'm just sorry that Haden didn't wait until after USC's loss to CU in November (36%, 89 Votes)
  • Somewhat surprised. Haden acknowledged depth issues, publicly supported Kiffin, but fired him at 3:00 a.m. - not the right way to do it (17%, 41 Votes)

Three games into the Mike MacIntyre era, my projection for the Buffs' first bowl bid

  • 2015 - It took three years in San Jose, it will take three years in Boulder (35%, 88 Votes)

Colorado falls to Oregon State, 44-17 ...
  • The bubble has been burst. It's going to be tough for CU to win very more games this season (36%, 82 Votes)
  • I'm concerned, but I'm withholding judgment until after a few more games have been played (35%, 78 Votes)
  • A difficult loss, but not unexpected, really. Remember that OSU was ranked in preseason (29%, 66 Votes)

  1. Stuart:

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.

SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.

  2. The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!

  3. Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.

  4. Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
