My biggest concern about the offense this weekend
  • Getting the running game going. The offense needs more balance (71%, 229 Votes)
  • Wood making good decisions and hanging onto the ball (four turnovers v. UCA). He must play well for CU to have a chance (25%, 82 Votes)
  • Finding another receiver to take the pressure off of Richardson. Teams will be forcing CU to find other weapons (4%, 13 Votes)

First thoughts ... Fresno State
  • Different teams, different location ... Different result. CU can win this! (46%, 147 Votes)
  • Buffs won't be out-scored 35-0 in the first quarter, but Bulldogs will likely pull away late. Buffs get "moral victory" (30%, 97 Votes)
  • FSU almost a top 25 team. Hoping for the best ... expecting the worst. Probably a three touchdown loss (24%, 75 Votes)

After two games, my prediction for CU's season record ...
  • Hasn't changed. The Buffs won the games they were supposed to. The tests begin Saturday. (50%, 217 Votes)
  • Is better than before. I'm going from 2-3 wins to 4-5 wins, but no better (37%, 159 Votes)
  • Has to be revised upwards significantly. The Buffs have shown heart and confidence - a bowl is a possibility! (13%, 58 Votes)

Start Date: September 8, 2013 @ 3:20 pm
End Date: No Expiry

CU rallies to defeat Central Arkansas, 38-24 ...
  • All I know - and all I care about - is that CU is 2-0. I'll worry about tomorrow when tomorrow comes! (47%, 161 Votes)
  • Reality check. Four Connor Wood turnovers led to 21 points. Buffs again under 100 yards rushing. There are a lot of holes still to be filled. (45%, 156 Votes)
  • Two fourth quarter rallies! Only four more wins for a bowl bid!! (8%, 28 Votes)

Start Date: September 7, 2013 @ 9:57 pm
End Date: No Expiry

What will satisfy you from the Buffs Saturday night?
  • I'll take any victory ... even if CU doesn't look good getting there (60%, 160 Votes)
  • CU must win convincingly ... it should be a complete victory in all three phases (29%, 76 Votes)
  • Strong effort, continued progress - that's what the program needs ... even if it comes with a tough loss (11%, 29 Votes)

Start Date: September 6, 2013 @ 7:47 pm
End Date: No Expiry

  1. Stuart:

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.

SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.

  2. The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!

  3. Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.

  4. Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
