Buffs fall to Washington State on the road, 76-74. Thoughts?
- Unacceptable. You can't lose to the 11th-place team if you have any expectations of finishing in the top four. Allowing a team to shoot over 50% from three-point range is, well, indefensible (46%, 106 Votes)
- All I know is that during the five-game winning streak, I was dreaming of CU being on the NCAA bubble after this weekend. Now? Not so much ... (30%, 68 Votes)
- A tough loss, but to a good team. Recall that these Cougars just got done sweeping the Arizona schools - on the road - and barely lost (72-70) to Washington (24%, 55 Votes)

Defensive lineman Lyle Tuiloma reportedly retiring from football. Thoughts?
- I'm just glad to hear that Tuiloma is graduating (not an APR hit). He did his part for CU, so I'll just wish him well and move on (73%, 251 Votes)
- Not to be mean-spirited, but this is not a significant loss. Tuiloma was a part-timer in all 12 games, and had 11 tackles last season (23%, 77 Votes)
- A huge loss. With graduations and the transfer of Israel Antwine, the Buffs are down to two returning defensive linemen. Not good (4%, 14 Votes)

USC & UCLA on pace for worst football/basketball combined record since World War II. Thoughts?
- Not sure if it's good or bad, but I'm certainly okay with seeing haughty Trojan and Bruin fans sit down and shut up for a change (56%, 148 Votes)
- Good news for CU. With the Trojans and Bruins down, the opportunity is there for Colorado to fill the void and regain national prominence (27%, 70 Votes)
- Bad news for CU ... and the rest of the Pac-12. With USC football and UCLA basketball down, the reputation of - and revenue for - the Pac-12 are diminished. To be the best you have to beat the best. (17%, 44 Votes)

Buffs receive a commitment from graduate transfer offensive tackle Arlington Hambright. Thoughts?
- Great news! A 6'5", 308-pound offensive tackle with Power-Five conference experience? Sounds like a perfect fit. Welcome, Mr. Hambright! (49%, 175 Votes)
- Good news. I do appreciate how this coaching staff is filing gaps in the lineup, looking to find ways to win this fall, not just looking to build for future years (46%, 164 Votes)
- Not really news. I'm grateful for the commitment, but we're talking about a player who went the JUCO route, was a part-time starter, and has injury issues ... fingers crossed. (5%, 21 Votes)

Which behavior this past week do you find to be the LEAST surprising (or, to put it another way, the most consistent with prior behavior)
- Nebraska's Scott Frost setting up a star running back with an attorney, then claiming he went all last fall not knowing the player had any legal problems (39%, 144 Votes)
- Three CU Board of Regents voting against salaries for assistant coaches (39%, 143 Votes)
- Arizona parts way with yet another assistant for violating NCAA rules ... and then reasserting its support for head coach Sean Miller (11%, 42 Votes)
- Oregon spending more money to part ways with Jim Leavitt than CU will pay its top five assistants this fall - combined (11%, 38 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
