Colorado opens spring practices this week. What is your level of excitement for spring ball, 2022?
- Low. I don't know if it's the lack of success in the past, or the lack of prospects for this season, but I'm not real excited about spring ball this year (42%, 84 Votes)
- Medium. It will be good to have some real football to talk about, though spring practices don't really move the meter that much. Still, good to see Buffs in pads again (36%, 73 Votes)
- High. No faster way to get the 2021 season (and off-season) behind this team than to put on pads and get a fresh start on getting ready for this fall (22%, 44 Votes)

How would you rate your level of concern over the linebacker corps heading into spring practices?
- Medium. There is talent in the linebacker corps, but I'm not sure it's enough to make up for the deficiencies along the defensive line and the holes in the secondary (53%, 75 Votes)
- High. Two NFL linebackers, Nate Landman and Carson Wells, are gone, and there isn't a great deal of proven talent behind them (25%, 36 Votes)
- Low. The Buffs have a good mix of young talent and transfer experience. I believe this is one of the strongest units on the team (22%, 31 Votes)

Adidas announces a plan to offer NIL network, offering 50,000 student athletes deals for endorsements. Thoughts?
- How would this work? Many schools (including CU) have long term deals with Nike. Your telling me CU is still going to get Nike dollars with athletes wearing Adidas gear? Won't happen (40%, 47 Votes)
- I just like the idea of Nike being undercut a little in the sports marketing world. Perhaps it will cut down on the millions being pumped into the Oregon program, courtesy of the Ducks' competitors (36%, 42 Votes)
- I like the concept. This was what NIL was supposed to be about. Instead of paying coaches to wear shoes with brand names, the money should go to the student athletes generating the revenue (24%, 29 Votes)

Would you "subscribe" to a CU NIL Collective ($10 - $500/month) in exchange for autographs, apparel, meet-and-greets, etc.?
- Maybe. In a sense, it's not much different than contributing to the Buff Club or buying season tickets. I'd have to see what it would cost (and/or what I could get) before deciding to participate (43%, 88 Votes)
- No. I'm opposed to paying players, and I don't like the direction college football is heading. If this is the only way for CU to be competitive in college football in the 2020's, count me out (30%, 62 Votes)
- Yes! I understand that this is the way of the world going forward, and if it helps CU to retain current players and attract new ones, then I am in (get it done, Buff Club!) (27%, 55 Votes)

CU receives a commitment from a 6'7", 315-pound offensive tackle, Naquil Betrand. Thoughts?
- Betrand: "I am respectful when you are respectful to me. On the field, (I am) disrespectful. Show no mercy. I am a dog" - I like him for that quote alone (45%, 96 Votes)
- One Power Five offer, and not yet even rated by the services. I suppose he will be yet another three-star recruit with a weak offer sheet. Lather, rinse, repeat - CU coaches need to step up their game (28%, 59 Votes)
- Impressed. A high school player of that size who is nimble and has offers literally from coast-to-coast. Welcome to the Black-and-Gold, Mr. Betran! (27%, 56 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
