CU's Recruiting Class of 2022 finishes 3rd in the Pac-12, 42nd overall (Rivals) - 5th in the Pac-12, 46th overall (247 Sports). Thoughts?
- CU's average player ranking is 2.83, which is only good enough for 9th in the Pac-12. There's some value in a big Class, but let's not get overly excited here (45%, 144 Votes)
- Considering the defections, this is an acceptable Class. Unfortunately, the Buffs again will be "a young team". CU did well in 2016 with a motivated senior Class - waiting for a repeat of that (36%, 117 Votes)
- Like it. How many times does CU have the 3rd-ranked Class in the Pac-12? (And that's not even counting the Transfer Portal additions). A good Class (19%, 60 Votes)

Which of the Tuesday commitments do you think has the most promise for the Buffs going forward?
- Class of 2022 running back Anthony Hankerson. Offers from almost 20 Power Five conference schools? That's the type of player CU needs to be recruiting. Hope his recruitment (a grey-shirt?) works out (65%, 194 Votes)
- Junior college defensive back Jeremy Mack. A good player in a position of need (with three years of eligibility). Mack checks all of the boxes - a good pickup (22%, 65 Votes)
- Class of 2023 quarterback Ryan Staub. I'm glad to see that CU locked up its quarterback recruit early. From an empty quarterback room to one full of options, CU has made significant strides (13%, 40 Votes)
Start Date: February 1, 2022 @ 5:34 pm

CU receives commitments from FCS All-American running back Ramon Jefferson and JC sophomore offensive lineman Alex Harkey. Thoughts?
- There should be a few other new commitments between now and Signing Day on Wednesday. I just hope that this is the start of a good week for the CU roster ... the Buffs need all the help they can get (47%, 139 Votes)
- An FCS running back and a JC offensive lineman - neither with much in the way of offers from other schools. It's okay to get new players in positions of need, but I doubt Pac-12 rivals are concerned (28%, 83 Votes)
- Very excited. Two recruits in positions of need. Jefferson will compete for a starting role this fall, and Harkey will supply quality depth. A good day for the Buff Nation (25%, 72 Votes)
Start Date: January 31, 2022 @ 5:28 pm
End Date: No Expiry
Do you have confidence that CU will have the resources and the backing to be competitive in the Age of NIL and Transfer Portal?
- Not so far - 21 transfers out; four in. CU's NIL clearinghouse set up seven months after NIL went into effect. Not a good start, but there is time to catch up (45%, 153 Votes)
- No chance. Other schools outside the Top 25 (see: Arizona; Arizona State and Utah just in the Pac-12 South) are finding ways to compete - CU seems indifferent and unengaged (41%, 138 Votes)
- Yes. "Competitive" is relative, of course. Can CU compete with USC and Oregon? No - but that's nothing new. CU, though, can and should be able to hold its own against other rivals. (14%, 46 Votes)
Start Date: January 30, 2022 @ 5:43 pm
End Date: No Expiry
Arizona ousts several assistant coaches, including its offensive coordinator. Thoughts?
- Much ado about nothing. As long as Herm Edwards remains the head coach, and ASU doesn't lose any scholarships or bowl opportunities, it's all window dressing (70%, 198 Votes)
- Now we know why former Baltimore Ravens head coach Brian Billick was hired as a special assistant. If Herm gets the boot ... ASU gets another NFL head coach to run the show (15%, 42 Votes)
- It's about time. Perhaps the NCAA is about to actually do something, and impose some real sanctions for a change, and give ASU some real penalties (15%, 41 Votes)
Start Date: January 28, 2022 @ 7:58 pm

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
