CU's non-conference schedule (TCU, at Air Force, at Minnesota) rated the most difficult in the Pac-12. Thoughts?
- I'm tired of this. UCLA is playing Bowling Green, Alabama State and South Alabama. The Bruins will be 3-0 and well on their way to a bowl bid ... while CU could be 0-3. Not making much sense (41%, 117 Votes)
- We'll see. If the Buffs are competitive, and pick up a win or two, it will bode well for the rest of the season. An 0-3 start, though, would set the Buffs on their way to another losing season. Sigh (38%, 110 Votes)
- Not a problem. Bill McCartney says in order to be the best you have to play the best. The Buffs have to get their act together and find a way to compete. Just do it! (21%, 61 Votes)

Would you support a no-division, eight-game Pac-12 conference schedule?
- Depends. I would like to see how such a schedule would work out. If 1's play 1's and 8's play 8's, I'd be on board. But if CU takes on Nebraska while Oregon picks Duke, no thanks (45%, 106 Votes)
- Yes! It would free up CU and other schools to have an extra non-conference game against a Big Ten or ACC school. Mix it up and let's go! (38%, 90 Votes)
- No. The downside is that it will end up like the old Big Eight. Remember the "Big Two (NE and OK) and the Little Six"? USC, Oregon ... and everyone else. Divisions help schools like CU have a chance (17%, 40 Votes)

NCAA: Half of the Pac-12 players who have entered the Transfer Portal have been left unsigned. Thoughts?
- I just hope that these players will stand as a cautionary tale for future players that it might be better to stick with the school that recruited them, and not seek out greener pastures (49%, 128 Votes)
- Sounds about right. You can't have 1,500 players in the Transfer Portal and have chairs for everyone when the music stops. The system is broken, and players are finding that out the hard way (37%, 96 Votes)
- Interesting that over half of the CU players have found new homes. I don't know if that means that CU players have greater value, or if CU needed to a better job of keeping its stars (14%, 39 Votes)

ESPN has Karl Dorrell as one of its two Pac-12 coaches entering the 2022 season on the "hot seat". Do you agree?
- Too early to tell. The roster isn't yet set, and we don't know what the new offense will look like. CU can't afford to buy out another coach, but there does need to be some signs of progress (38%, 134 Votes)
- Not really. There will be additional pressure to win, but with a fresh set of coaches and a tough schedule, CU will really have to crater for Dorrell to be let go (38%, 132 Votes)
- Definitely. You don't go from 4-2 to 4-8 and lose a half dozen starters without facing extra scrutiny. Dorrell has his players and his coaches - time to produce (24%, 85 Votes)

CU men's and women's basketball teams go 0-4 over the weekend. Thoughts?
- Three of the four losses were to nationally ranked teams, with the fourth one an overtime loss on the road. Tough weekend, to be sure, but not time to panic - at least not yet (47%, 95 Votes)
- I have more faith in the women's team, actually. The men's team is just too young to be consistent winners, while the women's team has better balance (and some more winnable games coming) (28%, 57 Votes)
- This is what the next few months will look like. Tad Boyle's team has a low ceiling this year, and the women's team has gone from 13-0 to 13-4. A lot more "L's" coming for both teams (25%, 51 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
