Please rate your excitement level for the Spring Game ...
- Medium. I'm excited to see the Buffs in action, and see some new players in action, but it's still just a Spring Game (49%, 76 Votes)
- High. Buffs wearing the black-and-gold for the first time since November, and the last time until August. Can't wait!! (32%, 49 Votes)
- Low. If we're being honest, this is just a Saturday afternoon with a controlled scrimmage. I just hope the Buffs emerge with no new injuries (19%, 30 Votes)
Start Date: April 26, 2019 @ 6:29 pm
End Date: No Expiry
What insights do you expect to obtain from the CU Spring Game?
- Not much at all. The Spring Game may be all about "meat and potatoes", but Tucker won't want to tip his hand to CSU by showing too much (48%, 89 Votes)
- A good deal. Coach Tucker doesn't want to waste a minute of his 15th practice by keeping the Spring Game vanilla (36%, 67 Votes)
- A great deal, actually. This is the first time we get to see the Buffs in action in the Mel Tucker era. He's not going to change his system just to hide formations from CSU (16%, 28 Votes)
Start Date: April 25, 2019 @ 6:16 pm
End Date: No Expiry
Which of the Mel Tucker post-practice quotes do you like the best?
- "I expect to see great focus. I don't want to see guys looking up in the stands. I told them there's not going to be any dancing ... We're not doing that. We're going out there to work" (57%, 112 Votes)
- "We've made steady progress in terms of sense of urgency and how we practice, the physicality, the fundamentals, along with the scheme and execution. We've gotten better pretty much every day" (32%, 63 Votes)
- "A spring game is an opportunity to put them in a game-like situation, especially in our home stadium, and get some of that anxiety out" (11%, 23 Votes)
Start Date: April 24, 2019 @ 7:01 pm
End Date: No Expiry
Which "CU at the NFL Draft" is most impressive?
- That CU is No. 23 all-time in the number of NFL draftees. A number which shows CU has been a quality program for many years (60%, 113 Votes)
- That CU is tied for 27th all-time in the number of first round picks (and Laviska Shenault will put CU back in the Top 25 next spring!) (20%, 38 Votes)
- That CU is tied for 6th all-time in the number of defensive backs taken (and could be tied for 4th in Evan Worthington is drafted) (20%, 37 Votes)
Start Date: April 23, 2019 @ 5:57 pm
End Date: No Expiry
What are your plans for CU's Spring Game (noon, Saturday, Pac-12 Networks)?
- I don't live close enough to attend, but I may be watching on the Pac-12 Networks or listening in on KOA (50%, 111 Votes)
- A 70-degree day, and an actual "game-like" Spring Game. Count me in for Mel Tucker's debut! (31%, 68 Votes)
- A 70-degree Saturday? I'll be enjoying the day elsewhere ... and perhaps read about the Spring Game later (19%, 43 Votes)
Start Date: April 22, 2019 @ 6:07 pm
End Date: No Expiry

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
