What I like best about new QB commit Brandon Lewis ...
- That Lewis threw for 2,524 yards last year, with 34 touchdowns and only three interceptions (count 'em, three!). Lewis also ran for 967 yards and 11 touchdowns (44%, 74 Votes)
- This analysis: "Lewis plays with notable confidence. He calmly stands in the pocket and navigates the field, usually making the right reads and finding the open receiver" (39%, 65 Votes)
- This analysis: "His running ability also allows him to throw on the run, and he drives the ball well to the perimeter when rolling to his right and throwing with his body" (17%, 29 Votes)

CU picks up a commitment from three-star quarterback Brendon Lewis. Thoughts?
- Fantastic news!! A dual-threat quarterback with over a dozen Power-Five offers? Verrry excited about Lewis and what he brings to the CU roster!! (61%, 164 Votes)
- This sounds like a great commitment - but I am more excited to see if the Brendon Lewis commit opens up the floodgates for the CU Class of 2020 (which presently only has three members) (28%, 74 Votes)
- Not to be a wet blanket, but remember Ty Evans? He was a super-committed Buff last spring ... and ended up signing with N.C. State. I'll be excited about Mr. Lewis - when he signs in December (11%, 30 Votes)

Four Buff defenders put their names into the "Transfer Portal". Thoughts?
- Sorry to see any players leave, but these players stuck with the team through spring practices, which to me says the moves are about playing time, and not about the new coaching staff (59%, 146 Votes)
- Not really news. Only DB Kevin George logged any significant playing time, and that was on special teams. Attrition is required to get to 85 scholarships, and these losses are relatively painless (40%, 98 Votes)
- Two defensive backs, a linebacker, and a defensive lineman gone? Not good news for units which are already short on depth (1%, 3 Votes)

CU schedules home-and-home series with Florida and Missouri. Thoughts?
- Love it! Glad to see Buffs setting up series with Power-Five opponents (while getting away from FCS money games). Scheduling trips to SEC country can only help with recruiting in the South (55%, 129 Votes)
- It's fine, but the first game isn't until 2025. Let's worry about finishing off this decade before getting excited about the second half of the next one (28%, 66 Votes)
- I just like the idea of filling up the schedule so that CSU won't be on it. After 2020, there is only the 2023/24 home-and-home with the Lambs the rest of the decade (17%, 38 Votes)
Start Date: May 8, 2019 @ 6:35 pm
End Date: No Expiry
CBS: Mel Tucker ranked 64th out of 65 Power-Five conference coaches. Thoughts?
- Situation normal. No one is paying attention to CU. The Buffs - and their coaches - are going to have to change perceptions of the program on the field this fall (64%, 161 Votes)
- Puh-lease. Would you rather have Tucker or Jonathan Smith (Oregon State), Mike Locksley (2-26 at UNM before taking over at Maryland), or Lovie Smith (Illinois)? Not me (26%, 65 Votes)
- It actually makes some sense. Tucker has never been a head coach of a college team, and most of the other first-year Power-Five coaches have other head coaching experience (10%, 25 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
