Which of the "Bar Bet Winners" from the "Sunday Afternoon Quarterback" rankings do you find to be the most surprising?
  • That there is a team in the Pac-12 which has given up more points in the past two games than has CU ... Arizona (51 to Washington; 41 to USC) (46%, 82 Votes)
  • That the only team in the Pac-12 North other than Oregon with fewer than three conference losses is ... Oregon State (45%, 81 Votes)

Washington State 41, Colorado 10. Thoughts?
  • Pathetic. Awful. Embarrassing. The defense is porous, and the offense has one touchdown in nine quarters. This team is worse than last year's team. (53%, 189 Votes)
  • The No. 1 passing offense in the country v. the No. 123 passing defense. This was a disaster waiting to happen. The Buffs need to get back to Boulder and re-group - three of the next four are at home (31%, 110 Votes)
  • The AP preseason men's basketball poll comes out Monday, and CU may be ranked in the preseason for the first time in 50 years - something to look forward to! (16%, 56 Votes)

It's time! Your prediction for Colorado at Washington State - 5:00 p.m., MT, ESPNU
  • The No. 1 passing offense in the nation against the 123rd-ranked passing defense? Hate to say it, but this is shaping up as a rout (40%, 91 Votes)
  • I can see the Buffs keeping it close for most of the game, but the Cougars will probably out-score the Buffs. A close, disappointing loss. (33%, 77 Votes)
  • People forget, but its the Cougars who are on the downward spiral here. Buffs give the Cougars their fourth straight loss in a CU upset! (27%, 62 Votes)

Which "other" Saturday Pac-12 game for you holds the most interest?
  • No. 12 Oregon at No. 25 Washington ... A win by the Huskies tightens the North race; a win by the Ducks ends the North race (38%, 87 Votes)
  • No. 17 Arizona State at No. 13 Utah ... The winner will become the favorite in the Pac-12 South. Can Herm & Co. pull off the upset? (37%, 85 Votes)
  • Arizona at USC ... The winner will be tied with the ASU/Utah winner for first in the South ... plus it's an early look at USC, the Buffs' next opponent (25%, 58 Votes)
  • Oregon State at Cal ... A battle of the two teams in the Pac-12 which CU doesn't play in 2019 or 2020 (0%, 2 Votes)

Start Date: October 17, 2019 @ 6:02 pm
End Date: No Expiry

Which numbers give you the most optimism about the CU game at Washington State?
  • 115 and 116 ... as in Washington State being 115th in the nation in total defense, and 116th in the nation in passing defense. Steven Montez - it's time for redemption! (54%, 129 Votes)
  • 46 and 80 ... as in the forecast calls for 46 degrees and an 80 percent chance of rain. Bad weather might slow the WSU offense down better than CU's freshmen cornerbacks could on their own (25%, 60 Votes)
  • 3 and 47.6 ... as in the Cougars have lost three straight games, and have given up an average of 47.6 points per game in Pac-12 play (21%, 49 Votes)

  1. Stuart:

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.

SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.

  2. The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!

  3. Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.

  4. Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
