What halftime adjustments do you believe made the biggest difference in CU's comeback victory?
- The defense. The Buffs forced zero punts in the first half, but four in the third quarter, allowing the Buffs to get back into the game (66%, 296 Votes)
- The offense. The line protected Montez, the running attack went from 0 to 89 yards, and Montez found his playmakers in space (26%, 116 Votes)
- Neither. Actually, I think it was more of Scott Frost's arrogance, and lack of adjustments, which was the biggest factor in allowing the Buffs back into the game (8%, 39 Votes)

Colorado 34, No. 25 Nebraska 31, OT ... Thoughts?
- All I know is that it was a wonderful victory. And, for all those season ticket holders who sold their tickets to Nebraska fans, I have this to say .... (unprintable) (67%, 427 Votes)
- OMG!!! What a great game!!! Mel Tucker will be remembered forever for this game!!! (28%, 179 Votes)
- It was a great, but unlikely win. CU has a great deal of work to do if the Buffs are going to get into bowl position this fall (5%, 31 Votes)

It's time! Your prediction for No. 25 Nebraska at Colorado ...
- Buffs win a close game. Both teams have issues, but the Buffs are at home, and have a coaching staff which will rise to the challenge. (71%, 220 Votes)
- Buffs win big! This game has a 2001 feel to it. The Buffs have been quiet, and the Huskers look vulnerable ... Buffs roll! (12%, 36 Votes)
- Cornhuskers win a close game. The Buffs will play with heart, and will have their chances, but I feel like CU will come up just short (9%, 28 Votes)
- Cornhuskers win big. Anyone who watched the CU defense against CSU has to be concerned about the Buffs keeping Adrian Martinez in check. The Buffs will be good under Mel Tucker, but it will take time (8%, 25 Votes)

The Pac-12 game this weekend which holds the most intrigue for me is ...
- Stanford at USC ... Both USC's and Stanford's quarterbacks are out. Can the Trojans get their act together and take down a good Stanford defense behind a freshman quarterback? (65%, 186 Votes)
- Cal at Washington ... The Bears have one of the best defenses in the conference. Will Washington show that the Huskies are (again) the team to beat in the Pac-12 North? (18%, 52 Votes)
- San Diego State at UCLA ... With Oklahoma and Washington State up next, UCLA is one bad afternoon away from a likely 0-4 start (17%, 46 Votes)

Which unit battle which have the most bearing on the outcome of the CU/Nebraska game?
- The Nebraska offense v. the Colorado defense - Can the Buffs contain Adrian Martinez? Will the Buffs be able to control the line of scrimmage ... and the perimeter? (64%, 251 Votes)
- Neither. Both are important, but turnovers will decide the game. CU needed four turnovers to take out CSU; Nebraska needed five to defeat South Alabama. Win the turnover battle = Win the game (30%, 119 Votes)
- The Colorado offense v. the Nebraska defense - Can Steven Montez have a complete game? Can Laviska Shenault take over, and lead the offense like he did in Lincoln? (6%, 23 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
