How do you see CU's final two regular season games playing out?
  • 0-2 ... The Buffs had their chances to get to six wins, but won't get there. CU is improved ... but will finish 4-8 (45%, 125 Votes)
  • 1-1 ... The Buffs have a decent shot at beating the Huskies at home, but I can't see the Buffs beating a top ten Utah team on the road (43%, 119 Votes)
  • 2-0! ... The Buffs showed against Stanford that there is a path to bowl-eligibility. An extra week to prepare (and get healthier) will allow the Buffs to get to six wins and a bowl! (12%, 36 Votes)

Which of the Pac-12 games this weekend for you holds the most interest?
  • UCLA at No. 7 Utah ... The Bruins are on a three-game winning streak. Is the Chip Kelly era on a permanent upswing, or will the Utes get one step closer to the Pac-12 title game? (72%, 148 Votes)
  • USC at California ... Both teams had impressive wins last week. Which team will make it two in a row? (15%, 31 Votes)
  • Arizona State at Oregon State ... On paper, probably the best matchup of the weekend. Can the Sun Devils avoid a four-game losing streak? (5%, 11 Votes)
  • Stanford at Washington State ... Two 4-5 teams who desperately need a win in order to keep bowl-eligibility in play (4%, 9 Votes)
  • Arizona at No. 6 Oregon ... How ugly will this one get? Will Kevin Sumlin assume the hot seat if the Wildcats fall for the fourth straight week? (4%, 7 Votes)

Will the winner of the Pac-12 championship game be a part of the College Football Playoff?
  • No. LSU, Ohio State and Clemson will win out, and either Georgia or Alabama will earn the fourth bid. The Pac-12 winner will get the Rose Bowl - but not a playoff invite (47%, 153 Votes)
  • Still too early to tell. All it will take is one or two upsets of the top teams (which could very well happen), while Oregon and Utah aren't home free yet, either (42%, 136 Votes)
  • Yes. Oregon and Utah will likely both win out (Ducks play Arizona schools and OSU; Utah has UCLA; Arizona; and CU). The Pac-12 title game winner will be in the Playoffs (11%, 35 Votes)

Which of the Tuesday post-practice Mel Tucker quote do you like the best?
  • “It was our best effort from the defensive line. We play a lot of young players and have been showing a lot of signs of improvement throughout the season. That showed on Saturday" (39%, 114 Votes)
  • "We showed a level of competitive greatness, which is being at your best when your best is needed ... I was extremely proud of our football team" (38%, 111 Votes)
  • “Our fans were tremendous. The stadium was electric - It was very impressive. The Buff Nation was strong on Saturday" (23%, 64 Votes)

Which of the following events from the past week will have the most lasting impact?
  • That CU received commitments from a 5-star defensive end, a 4-star running back, and a 3-star linebacker whose father & grandfather played in the NFL. (Of course, we still have to sign them) (78%, 300 Votes)
  • The Buffs beat Stanford, 16-13. The game not only ended a five-game winning streak, it served notice to Buff fans (and the Pac-12) that the Buffs are on their way back under Tucker & Co. (13%, 50 Votes)
  • That the basketball team defeated ASU (a projected tourney team), and earned its first national ranking in almost six years. This is going to be a tournament team - and will make some noise once there (9%, 33 Votes)

  1. Stuart:

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.

SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.

  2. The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!

  3. Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.

  4. Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
