Which Pac-12 game this weekend holds the most interest for you?
  • No. 16 Washington at No. 8 Washington State - Can Mike Leach break his winless streak against Chris Petersen, and continue the Cougars run to an improbable Pac-12 title? (84%, 249 Votes)
  • No. 3 Notre Dame at USC - Will this be Clay Helton's last game? Can Helton hang onto his job if the Trojans finish 5-7? (14%, 42 Votes)
  • Arizona State at Arizona - Which new coach will win their first Territorial Cup? Will Arizona finish 5-7 and out of the bowls? (2%, 6 Votes)
  • Oregon at Oregon State - The last time the two teams played in Corvallis ... the Beavers won (0%, 0 Votes)

Will Laviska Shenault or Travon McMillian (or both) reach 1,000 yards?
  • Both. Shenault needs just 54 yards receiving; McMillian needs just 49 yards rushing. CU will get its first-ever season with both a 1,000-yard rusher and 1,000-yard receiver! (86%, 221 Votes)
  • I can see Shenault getting his yards because he'll get the ball in space and make it happen, but I can't see McMillian getting his yards against the Cal defense (11%, 27 Votes)
  • Neither. The Colorado defense has been going in reverse for weeks, and Cal has a great defense. The Bears will take away CU's two remaining offensive threats (3%, 8 Votes)

What would be your expectations from the new coach in 2019?
  • A bowl game in season one. A winning season every needs to become the new baseline for success, and CU can build from there (53%, 183 Votes)
  • An efficient offense and a stalwart defense. No reason that a team with this much returning talent can win eight or nine games (28%, 95 Votes)
  • I'm not sure the 2019 Buffs are going bowling, regardless of who is coaching. Nebraska and Air Force in non-conference, Oregon and Stanford replace Oregon State and Cal in Pac-12 play (19%, 67 Votes)

What trait are you most interested in from CU's next head coach?
  • They must have a proven track record as a recruiter. If they can't recruit (and bring in assistants who can recruit), then the resume is irrelevant (46%, 199 Votes)
  • They must have a proven ability to develop talent. CU is never going to be stocked with four- and five-star players. Getting the most out of players CU recruits is vital (23%, 98 Votes)
  • They must have Power-Five head coaching experience. CU has tried two Mountain West coaches ... without success (21%, 89 Votes)
  • They must have head coaching experience, i.e., no coordinators. CU is not a place for a coach to learn on the job (10%, 42 Votes)

"Mike MacIntyre has been dismissed as head coach of the University of Colorado football team". Thoughts?
  • While currently a villain, Mike MacIntyre did many great things for the CU program. Thanks, coach, for your energy and efforts over the past six years, (71%, 443 Votes)
  • A good day for the CU program, but it all depends on who Rick George hires. CU is at a crossroads - I'll withhold judgment on this news until the new hire is announced (22%, 135 Votes)
  • It's about time. This should have happened weeks ago. The team has been a disaster since the second half of the Oregon State game (7%, 46 Votes)

  1. The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!

  2. Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.

  3. Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
