CU ranked 8th in the Big 12, 55th in the nation, in a listing of college sports values. Thoughts?
- Doesn't matter until it does. When the next set of television contracts and realignment comes around, CU (as long as Coach Prime stays) will be just fine, thank you very much (63%, 101 Votes)
- What stood out to me is that no team in the Big 12 was ranked higher than 33rd. The conference needs to make some noise on the field in the next few years, or the conference will face relegation (27%, 43 Votes)
- Makes sense. I can see that CU is about in the middle of the Big 12, especially since these numbers largely don't (yet) account for the Prime Effect which has hit CU (10%, 17 Votes)

Which of the following new Transfer Portal commits to you will have the greatest impact?
- QB Kaidon Salter (Liberty) ... The perfect fit. A QB with game experience, who can serve as the transition QB for Julian Lewis. A huge pickup, and a great insurance policy for 2025 (63%, 183 Votes)
- DB Markari Vickers (Oklahoma) ... A four-star prospect from the Class of 2023. CU is not only getting one of the top 100 recruits in the nation, but one with three years of eligibility remaining (22%, 64 Votes)
- K Buck Buchanan (Louisiana Tech) ... A kicker who can kick 50 yard field goals, and has an 82% success rate in kicking for touchbacks. Buchanan could win a game or two for CU next fall (15%, 43 Votes)

CU picks up a commitment from four-star defensive lineman Jehiem Oatis. Thoughts?
- Great pickup! Rated as one of the top - if not THE top - defensive player in the Transfer Portal. Oh, and in a position of need. Well done, Coaches! (60%, 144 Votes)
- Fingers crossed, but Oatis has a history of injuries, and didn't play much in 2024. A great deal of potential, but Oatis still has some work to do to show he can be a four-star performer on the field (22%, 54 Votes)
- I'm just enjoying seeing another nail put in the coffin of the "Coach Prime is leaving" premise. I'm going to enjoy watching the 2025 roster come together (18%, 43 Votes)

Linebacker Nikhai Hill-Green becomes the first starter to enter the Transfer Portal. Thoughts?
- To be honest, I thought that Hill-Green had already used up his eligibility, and was on his way to the NFL. I would have liked for him to at least played in the bowl game before leaving (58%, 182 Votes)
- A tough loss. One of the best tacklers on the team, and a position which is one of the thinnest on the roster. Hill-Green will definitely be missed (30%, 96 Votes)
- We should be used to this by now. There is plenty of "out-go" before there is plenty of "in-come". Buff fans need to be patient. Solid replacements are on the way (12%, 37 Votes)

No. 20 Colorado listed as a 3.0-point favorite over No. 17 BYU in the Alamo Bowl. Thoughts?
- Since this is a neutral site game, it appears that Vegas sees the Buffs as the better team. I'm agreeing with Vegas that it will be a close game - I just hope CU comes out on top (50%, 116 Votes)
- I'm liking this line. The Buffs dominated Oklahoma State in the finale, and have the momentum of Travis Hunter's Award week. Take the Buffs and give the points! (26%, 61 Votes)
- The last two times CU has traveled to San Antonio, they have come away with two losses (by a combined score of 91-31). Overlook the Cougars (and their fans, who will travel) at your peril (24%, 57 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
