The 2020 Rocky Mountain Showdown (in Ft. Collins) is now only four months away. Will it be played?
- Still too early to call. It seems that progress is being made, but I'm having a hard time right now wrapping my head around a CU/CSU game in September with 40,000 (mostly CU) fans in attendance (49%, 129 Votes)
- No. The game will either not be played (conference games only in 2020), or post-poned until later in the fall (or in the spring of 2021) (32%, 83 Votes)
- Yes. Considering where we were a month ago, I can see a path for football being played as scheduled come September 5th (19%, 50 Votes)

Colorado is 3rd in the Pac-12 (30th nationally) in offers out to the Recruiting Class of 2021. Thoughts?
- Not sure it means very much. Most of those offers were likely from the Mel Tucker staff, so we'll have to see how Karl Dorrell's staff treats these offers (64%, 87 Votes)
- Interesting that there are that many offers out there, especially when this will be a smaller-than-usual Class. Strange to think that less than 10% of those offered will become Buffs (19%, 26 Votes)
- I was more interested to see that five of the nine fewest offers were from the Pac-12, with 2/3 of the Pac-12 North in the bottom ten in offers. Not sure why that is ... (17%, 23 Votes)

Which of the following suggestions to improve the Pac-12's profile would you be most likely to support?
- Allow for kickoffs at 10:00 a.m. MT (9:00 a.m., PT). The occasional early start (with rotating teams), getting a lead in from ESPN GameDay and Fox, would be a huge plus for the conference (49%, 91 Votes)
- Play non-conference games in November. SEC teams prep for rivalry games with cupcake games, while Pac-12 teams are beating up on one another with rankings and ratings on the line (27%, 51 Votes)
- Play conference games on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend. Perhaps not this year, but it would be a great national attention-getter going forward (14%, 27 Votes)
- Play football conference games and non-conference basketball games in Las Vegas. It would be a great boost in attention for the conference (10%, 18 Votes)

What did you take from Chancellor Phil DiStefano's letter to the CU students and faculty?
- That CU has active and engaged leadership, and that DiStefano and Rick George will do what's necessary to protect CU's interest going forward (55%, 72 Votes)
- "That CU plans on announcing our plan for a safe return to an in-person campus experience by or before the beginning of June" - like the sounds of that (35%, 46 Votes)
- That CU "will be delaying our decision about Augmester, which takes place Aug. 3 through Aug. 20, until later this month", which keeps hope alive for a full season (10%, 13 Votes)
Start Date: May 2, 2020 @ 6:30 pm

Which Friday headline caught your attention the most?
- William Anglen is back in the fold - I'm not sure what impresses me more, that CU's coaches held onto all of the Class of 2020, or that a prep star from Ohio (with ties to Tucker) is staying with CU (72%, 148 Votes)
- Iowa plans on beginning practice on June 1st - If the Hawkeyes are back on the field in a month, how long will it be before other schools/conferences will follow suit (so as not to be left behind)? (22%, 45 Votes)
- Tyler Bey hires an agent - I had hopes that Bey would still return to the Buffs, but I guess that ship has now sailed. I hope it proves to be the right decision for him (6%, 12 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
