Emma Coburn and Jenny Simpson both win bronze medals at Rio Olympics
- Great news! Congratulations to the former Buffs - you did CU proud!! (93%, 295 Votes)
- I'm just glad CU was able to contribute to the list of Pac-12 medalists (38 and counting) (5%, 15 Votes)
- Glad for their success, but, c'mon, their ties to CU today are tenuous at best (2%, 6 Votes)

Thoughts on the new "Clear Bag" policy at Folsom and the CEC?
- Fine with it. It's a sign of the times, and if it will help shorten the lines to get in, I'm all for it (58%, 139 Votes)
- Not happy about it. Just one more reason for fans to stay home and not come to the games (23%, 55 Votes)
- Not an issue for me. I don't bring anything with me into the stadium / don't attend home games (19%, 45 Votes)

CU's starting lineup has half as many four-star players than MacIntyre's first team (2013). Surprising?
- Not really. "Star" ratings have no real value in the long term (47%, 145 Votes)
- Somewhat. We'll have to wait for the '16 and '17 Classes to emerge to get the "star" ratings up (36%, 110 Votes)
- Very. Takes away from the "burned to the ground by Jon Embree" argument (17%, 54 Votes)

Thoughts on reports from the CU scrimmage
- Neutral. A number of players were held out; everything was kept vanilla. Nothing to see here (59%, 134 Votes)
- Positive. The Buffs have a number of new stars in the making, and the most depth in years (24%, 55 Votes)
- Negative. Sefo Liufau had - by his admission - a bad day. As Sefo goes, so goes the team (17%, 40 Votes)

My interest in the Buffs' open scrimmage
- Medium. A good chance to get independent eyes on the newer players (46%, 77 Votes)
- High. A chance for players to show they deserve playing time; a good time to get positive publicity for the program (30%, 51 Votes)
- Low. With CSU coaches keeping an eye on formations and play-calling, it's too generic to learn anything (24%, 41 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
