What would constitute a "win" for you over Idaho State?
- CU needs a rout. The Buffs need to show that they can dominate lesser teams (58%, 228 Votes)
- A slow and steady increase in the lead, with the Buffs never in danger of losing (24%, 96 Votes)
- Any result with CU having a higher score (and a clean injury sheet) ... Buffs need "W's", not style points (18%, 70 Votes)

CU receiving votes in the polls for the first time since 2008 ...
- It's just nice to break the streak. It may only last two weeks, but it's nice to at least be back in the conversation (58%, 218 Votes)
- One writer and one coach (not Mac) voted for the Buffs ... let's not get carried away (28%, 105 Votes)
- Well deserved recognition. The Buffs are coming back, and this is just another step in the progression (14%, 54 Votes)

Colorado listed as a 38-point favorite over Idaho State
- About right. I can see Buffs getting off to a fast start, then slowly adding to the lead all afternoon (55%, 235 Votes)
- Too high. Yes, the CSU game was a big night for the Buffs, but c'mon, that's a huge number for a team which scored 24/ppg last season (40%, 170 Votes)
- Too low. The Buffs are focused, and ISU is a really bad FCS team (5%, 20 Votes)
Start Date: September 5, 2016 @ 7:17 pm
End Date: No Expiry
The unit which was the most pleasant surprise v. CSU
- Defensive line ... Went against CSU's best unit, the offensive line, and neutralized it (42%, 145 Votes)
- Offensive line ... Yes, CSU had a makeshift defensive line, but the Buff front five dominated (25%, 86 Votes)
- Secondary ... 63 passing yards allowed - 'nuff said. (17%, 60 Votes)
- Wide receivers ... Fields, Bobo and Ross proved they can be a real factor (16%, 53 Votes)
Start Date: September 4, 2016 @ 7:50 pm
End Date: No Expiry
Area of greatest concern for the Buffs going forward
- Fumbles ... they could cost the Buffs in a close game (36%, 131 Votes)
- Failure - again - to convert in the red zone. Three field goals inside the twenty yard line v. CSU (25%, 91 Votes)
- You're kidding, right? I'll take 44-7 with mistakes all season long ... (22%, 79 Votes)
- Sefo Liufau missed on several open receivers - that won't be forgivable against good teams (17%, 66 Votes)
Start Date: September 3, 2016 @ 8:16 pm

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
