Your rating of CSU's current chances of joining the Big 12
  • Low. Pretty sure that the Big 12 doesn't want a school which averages less than 25,000 fans per game (71%, 212 Votes)
  • Medium. If the Big 12 adds four teams, I can see CSU being in the mix (27%, 80 Votes)
  • High. The Rams built their stadium at the right time, can project a high "upside" (2%, 6 Votes)

Start Date: August 12, 2016 @ 8:16 am
End Date: No Expiry

The freshman receiver who will have an impact this fall:
  • Johnny Huntley III (42%, 124 Votes)
  • None of the above. With Fields, Winfree, Ross, Bobo, et al., it will be hard for a freshman to see much playing time (40%, 120 Votes)
  • Tony Julmisse (13%, 38 Votes)
  • (R-Fr.) Justin Jan (3%, 9 Votes)
  • Derrion Rakestraw (2%, 6 Votes)

Start Date: August 11, 2016 @ 7:50 am
End Date: No Expiry

The defensive line in 2016 will be ...
  • A strength. With Tupou a beast in the middle, Carrell, Kafovalu et al. will have a banner year (62%, 183 Votes)
  • A question mark. Until proven otherwise, this is still a unit which gave up 200 yards rushing per game last year (37%, 110 Votes)
  • A liability. Buffs are making progress, but the reality is that Pac-12 opponents exploit this weak spot (1%, 2 Votes)

Start Date: August 10, 2016 @ 7:26 am
End Date: No Expiry

A week into Fall Camp, my excitement level for the season is ...
  • Increasing. The positive energy from the off-season is continuing. I'm drinking the Kool-Aid! (64%, 194 Votes)
  • Unchanged. It's the first week of Fall Camp. Wake me when it's the week of the CSU game (30%, 90 Votes)
  • Decreasing. Actually getting more nervous about the fall ... Can the Buffs actually post some Pac-12 victories? (6%, 17 Votes)

Start Date: August 9, 2016 @ 8:02 am
End Date: No Expiry

The offensive line in 2016 will be ...
  • A question mark ... at least until the starting lineup is announced and they have played a game or two (76%, 212 Votes)
  • A liability. If we're being honest, there is no unit on the team which is weaker than the offensive line (14%, 39 Votes)
  • A strength. With Irwin healthy, the unit is finally at full strength and will have a great year (10%, 28 Votes)

Start Date: August 8, 2016 @ 8:49 am
End Date: No Expiry

  1. Stuart:

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.

SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.

  2. The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!

  3. Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.

  4. Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
