Rate your level of excitement of CU's official return to the Big 12 ...
- Medium. Glad that CU found a life boat as the Pac-12 imploded, but CU has a great deal to prove as it returns to its old haunts. Pressure is on to succeed (49%, 108 Votes)
- High. The Buffs return to the conference where success was expected and achieved. Glad to have the Pac-12 in the rear view mirror, with a fresh start against teams CU can beat (33%, 73 Votes)
- Low. Trips to Los Angeles, San Francisco, Phoenix and Seattle have been replaced with trips to Lubbock, Waco, Ames and Stillwater. Hard to get excited about a conference without a Blue Blood to beat (18%, 39 Votes)

Help settle our CUATG podcast debate: In what tier of the Big 12 would you put CU's overhauled running back room?
- Tier Two: 5-8 in the Big 12. A potential strength. A diversified unit with great potential; a unit which can help CU to a winning record and a bowl berth (47%, 72 Votes)
- Tier Three: 9-12 in the Big 12. Likely a liability, with no proven back in the room. But, if the unit can avoid injury and live up to its potential, they can help CU get to a bowl game (36%, 55 Votes)
- Tier Four: 13-16 in the Big 12. Once again, a problem area. CU lost all of its rushers from last season - not a good sign. This is a unit which might drag CU down to another losing season (9%, 13 Votes)
- Tier One: With the influx of talent, CU's backs are one of the top four units in the Big 12, capable of taking the Buffs to title contention if the rest of the team is equally up to the task (8%, 12 Votes)

Which of the following factoids about CU and the Big 12 to you is the most interesting?
- That CU has losing records against only two teams in the new Big 12, and both are newbies to the conference (Utah and Arizona State) (63%, 71 Votes)
- That Colorado played Big 12 Houston and Cincinnati neophytes only once each, in 1971 and 1972, and haven't played either one since (23%, 26 Votes)
- That CU's history with the "Big 12" dates back to 1947, when the Buffs joined the "Big Six" to help form the "Big Seven" (14%, 16 Votes)

CBS Sports rates Coach Prime as the No. 15 head coach in the Big 12 (and No. 61 out of 68 in the Power Four). Thoughts?
- I understand that this is what we have to talk about in early July. I'm ready to move past talk, and get to some action. Four weeks to the start of Fall Camp! (58%, 85 Votes)
- I guess being 27-6 at Jackson State, and turning around a pitiful 1-11 CU team doesn't give you much in the way of Power Four credibility. He'll have to earn a better rating with a winning record (27%, 40 Votes)
- It goes with the extra hype which came with the beginning of the season, and the 1-8 Pac-12 record to finish. If CU had started out 0-3, then gone 4-5 in conference play, the rating would be higher (15%, 21 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
