Colorado 41, Northern Colorado 21 ... Thoughts?
  • CU is 3-0, and that's all that matters (ask UCLA, or Nebraska, or Stanford) if they would rather have an ugly win (45%, 159 Votes)
  • CU offense was frustrating, but still had 569 total yards and 41 points - I'll take it (29%, 105 Votes)
  • Nice of the Buffs to post next week's score for us in advance: Washington 41, Colorado 21 (26%, 92 Votes)

It's time - Your prediction for CU v. Colorado Teachers College
  • A real rout this time - not a slow building one. Buffs win handily (61%, 166 Votes)
  • Probably a big win, but like last week, it will take (an uncomfortable period of) time to get there (35%, 96 Votes)
  • Buffs may be looking past Bears, while UNC has nothing to lose ... I see a close game (4%, 10 Votes)

The unit which has been the most pleasant surprise
  • Special teams - From kickoffs to punts to field goals - doing well in all phases (38%, 102 Votes)
  • Defensive line - New starters across the board holding their own (30%, 81 Votes)
  • Defensive backs - Udoffia looking good at CB No. 2; Oliver is a star (17%, 46 Votes)
  • Linebackers - Lewis and Gamboa leading the team in tackles (15%, 42 Votes)

Start Date: September 14, 2017 @ 6:36 pm

Most disappointing CU unit to date?
  • OL ... No holes for Lindsay; gaps in pass protection (72%, 309 Votes)
  • QB's ... Montez has not shown anticipated advancement (15%, 66 Votes)
  • None of the above ... CU is 2-0, that's all that matters (10%, 41 Votes)
  • DL ... I had hopes for more domination v. lower level foes (2%, 8 Votes)
  • WR's ... There should be record-setting numbers by now (1%, 5 Votes)

Start Date: September 13, 2017 @ 6:36 pm
End Date: No Expiry

CU is a 37-point favorite over Northern Colorado. Thoughts?
  • I don't care about the score. To quote MacIntyre: "I'd like for us to put together a full game on all phases" (59%, 207 Votes)
  • Take CU and the points this time. The Buffs played poorly last week ... and still won by 34 points (28%, 100 Votes)
  • I don't see it. Buffs will dominate early, then coast. A big win, but not that big. (13%, 46 Votes)

Start Date: September 12, 2017 @ 6:42 pm
End Date: No Expiry

  1. Stuart:

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.

SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.

  2. The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!

  3. Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.

  4. Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
