CU a 36 1/2-point favorite over Texas State. Thoughts?
  • I really don't care. A win, preferably without injuries, is all I really care about from this weekend (47%, 162 Votes)
  • Take CU and the points. Buffs will roll in the home opener - count on it! (28%, 97 Votes)
  • Not sure. Buffs have scored 10, 8, and 17 points in their last three games. A CU win, but not by 37 points (25%, 84 Votes)

CU ranked just outside of both AP and USA Today polls
  • Not really concerned. If the Buffs win the next two games, then beat Washington, they'll get their due in the polls (74%, 249 Votes)
  • Love it! Gives the Buffs incentive to play hard and not sleep walk through the next two games (17%, 57 Votes)
  • Hate it! CU was unranked preseason because they lost so much on defense. Now what's the excuse? (9%, 31 Votes)

  1. Stuart:

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.

SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.

  2. The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!

  3. Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.

  4. Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
