Most interesting Mike MacIntyre press conference quote:
- "If (CU and Washington) are even on turnovers – they're going to win, bottom line. If you reverse it (3-1 in CU's favor), we would have won, I really believe that" (58%, 122 Votes)
- "If you want to be successful in anything in life, it's the attention to the little details" (35%, 73 Votes)
- "(UCLA) is very talented. I think they're averaging 100 points a game right now" (7%, 16 Votes)

My biggest concern about the Buffs going forward
- Offensive line - No holes for the running game; poor protection for the passing game (60%, 222 Votes)
- Offensive play calling - Predictable calls hampering Buffs ability to compete (17%, 63 Votes)
- Quarterback play - Steven Montez is a sophomore, and sometimes it shows (12%, 46 Votes)
- Defensive line - No sacks; 254 rushing yards allowed (11%, 38 Votes)

CU is listed as a 6.5-point underdog on the road against UCLA
- Sounds about right. The Buffs are on the road and are struggling on offense - Buffs need to prove themselves (57%, 191 Votes)
- I like the Buffs to win outright. UCLA has no defense (giving up 43.3 points per game) (28%, 95 Votes)
- UCLA can score in bunches (45.0 ppg.). Honestly, I don't see the Buffs keeping up ... I foresee another bad loss (15%, 52 Votes)

No. 7 Washington 37, Colorado 10. Thoughts?
- It is what it is ... I just hope the Buffs will rebound quickly and get themselves ready for UCLA (48%, 148 Votes)
- Same song, different verse. Buffs proved they can't compete with the upper echelon teams in the nation (32%, 99 Votes)
- Many (including many Buff fans) won't remember it was 17-10 late in the third quarter. I'm actually encouraged (20%, 60 Votes)

It's time - Your prediction for Washington at Colorado
- Until the Buffs prove otherwise, this is not a Top 25 team. Hate to say it, but I foresee a Washington rout (38%, 57 Votes)
- Buffs will finally be focused, and put together a complete game. CU in an upset! (37%, 56 Votes)
- CU keeps it close, but Huskies avoid the upset with a single-score victory (25%, 39 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
