The most interesting (non-CU) Pac-12 game this week:
- No. 11 Washington State at Oregon - Can the Cougars keep it going in their first road game? (57%, 143 Votes)
- Stanford at No. 20 Utah - Are the Utes for real? (40%, 101 Votes)
- Cal at No. 6 Washington - Will Huskies post another rout? (2%, 5 Votes)
- Oregon State at No. 14 USC - How big a blowout will CU's next opponent absorb? (1%, 3 Votes)
Start Date: October 5, 2017 @ 6:15 pm
End Date: No Expiry
Phillip Lindsay; "We're going to be fine". Agree or disagree?
- Withholding judgment, but for only one more game. If CU can't beat Arizona .... Buffs are looking at 4-8, 1-8 (52%, 145 Votes)
- Agree. Buffs have the worst two teams in the Pac-12 the next two weeks. Buffs will look better at 5-2 (35%, 99 Votes)
- Disagree. Whether its coaching, talent, or discipline, the Buffs don't have "it" this year (13%, 36 Votes)
Start Date: October 4, 2017 @ 6:23 pm
End Date: No Expiry
The Tuesday press conference quote I like best:
- Evan Worthington: "The mood of the team is we can't lose any more. We've got to keep pushing" (77%, 158 Votes)
- Mike MacIntyre: "The team is focused and ready to go" (8%, 17 Votes)
- Afodabi Laguda: "We still have a chance at our goal - to win the Pac-12" (7%, 15 Votes)
- Steven Montez: "I feel like we are extremely close" (8%, 15 Votes)
Start Date: October 3, 2017 @ 6:33 pm
End Date: No Expiry
Chances of CU qualifying for a bowl game this fall?
- Medium. I'm hedging my bets here - if the Buffs win the next two, then "high". Lose either one, then "low" (56%, 180 Votes)
- High. Patience, people. The Buffs are just getting started - and getting better. I remain confident (37%, 119 Votes)
- Low. The Buffs are the 10th or 11th-best team in the league - that reality means that CU won't get to six wins and bowl eligibility (7%, 23 Votes)
Start Date: October 2, 2017 @ 6:36 pm
End Date: No Expiry
CU listed as a touchdown favorite over Arizona
- The line is about right. Buffs haven't clicked on all cylinders yet, but have enough to take down Arizona (57%, 142 Votes)
- Arizona has had a bye week to prepare, and Rich Rodriguez is fighting for his job. Arizona could pull off an upset (31%, 78 Votes)
- Not a problem. Last November, the Buffs thumped the Wildcats, 49-24. I expect a similar result (12%, 30 Votes)
Start Date: October 1, 2017 @ 6:59 pm
End Date: No Expiry

Stuart:
I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
