What is your level of interest in the Alliance of American Football?
  • Low. Like the USFL and the XFL, the AAF will have a brief and sordid history (51%, 91 Votes)
  • Non-existent. Tell me this is fake news! (27%, 48 Votes)
  • Medium. With regional teams, there would be more opportunities for Buffs to keep playing (17%, 30 Votes)
  • High. Football is football, and it will keep our interest in the sport next spring (5%, 10 Votes)

Thoughts on CU's 2018 Spring showcase scrimmage
  • It wasn't a real spring game, only a "vanilla" scrimmage. Nothing to see here (61%, 104 Votes)
  • The offense was inept; the defense was inconsistent ... it looked like the 2017 season all over again (20%, 35 Votes)
  • I'm with Mike MacIntyre: "There were big plays made on both sides of the ball" (19%, 32 Votes)

Pac-12 goes 0-3 and out in NCAA tournament. Thoughts?
  • Bad news for CU ... and the Pac-12. On top of the lousy bowl season, Pac-12 is at the bottom of the Power-Five pool (49%, 83 Votes)
  • Not news for CU. The Buffs finished 8th in a weak league - deal with that first (44%, 74 Votes)
  • Good news for CU. It shows that the Pac-12 is ripe for the taking (7%, 12 Votes)

  1. Stuart:

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.

SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.

  2. The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!

  3. Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.

  4. Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
