No. 5 seed Colorado holds off No. 12 seed California, 56-51. Thoughts?
- Any win is a reason for celebration. With Arizona's loss, only Tad Boyle's Buffs have at least one win in every Pac-12 tournament. (Also, happy to see the Buffs crack the 20-win mark!) (41%, 129 Votes)
- Happy for the win, but it's safe to say that the Buffs will not defeat Oregon State with a similar effort Thursday afternoon (40%, 124 Votes)
- A great win. How often can a team commit 23 turnovers and an off-day from a star like Tyler Bey and still win? Fourth straight win, and ninth in past 11 - Well done, Buffs! (19%, 60 Votes)

Colorado is a ten-point favorite over Cal in the first round of the Pac-12 tournament. Thoughts?
- Too high. Cal just knocked off Washington, Washington State and Stanford, teams against which CU went 1-5 this season. The is game is a toss-up (50%, 124 Votes)
- About right. The Buffs have more talent than do the 8-22 Bears, but Cal has some momentum. It will be a CU win, but the Buffs won't pull away until late (46%, 114 Votes)
- Too low. Cal is on a roll, but so are the Buffs ... and, by the way, CU is 8-0 in first round games under Tad Boyle. Buffs advance comfortably (4%, 12 Votes)

What Mel Tucker press conference quote resonates most for you?
- "The two main factors in success are environment and expectations, and a lot of that is culture. How do we go about our business on a day-to-day basis?" (46%, 104 Votes)
- "I want these guys to have a clean slate. I want them to have a fresh start. The past, we're going to let it go. We're starting out clean" (37%, 82 Votes)
- "(Strength coach) Drew (Wilson) has done a great job with the strength and conditioning. The team has has really shaped up. They look like they are in really good condition" (17%, 38 Votes)

My favorite Tad Boyle quote as the Buffs head off to Las Vegas:
- "We haven't won every game since (the Oregon State loss), but our intensity, our mentality, our grit, toughness, has been there every time we've stepped on the floor" (37%, 45 Votes)
- "You are going to have to execute. (The Pac-12 tournament winner) can be anybody and it can be the Buffaloes because we are playing well right now" (35%, 43 Votes)
- "Our best player is the guy who is open. … I love how our guys are sharing the ball" (28%, 35 Votes)

CU finishes in a three-way tie for fourth in the Pac-12, but earn a No. 5 seed in Pac-12 tournament. Thoughts?
- I guess if a win over Cal gets CU to 20 wins, and enhances the Buffs chances at an NIT bid, I'm in ... it is what it is (48%, 139 Votes)
- Not an issue. Buffs can pick up another "W" on Wednesday before taking on Oregon State in the quarterfinals. Buffs the hottest team in the conference! (40%, 117 Votes)
- A real concern. Two of the hottest teams heading into the conference tournament are CU ... and Cal. The Bears have won three straight, including a win over Washington. I'm concerned (12%, 34 Votes)

Stuart:
I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
