ESPN: Buff receivers make up CU's best unit. CU's second-best unit:
  • Running backs. Lindsay et al. could have a dominant year (36%, 112 Votes)
  • Linebackers. Experience and depth will shine through this year (27%, 84 Votes)
  • Quarterbacks. Montez, Noyer and Lytle make up an impressive trio of options (22%, 67 Votes)
  • Defensive backs. Despite graduations, still the best unit on the team (15%, 44 Votes)

CU Spring practices closed to the public
  • Fine with it. The team doesn't need to deal with internet debates over the number of dropped passes (57%, 196 Votes)
  • Close practices, but open up Saturday scrimmages. Tough to build up the fan base without access (37%, 127 Votes)
  • Don't like it. No legitimate concerns about other team's "stealing" information (every USC practice is open to the public) (6%, 21 Votes)

Start Date: February 22, 2017 @ 9:43 am

College Football News has CU as the No. 41 team in the nation ...
  • If the CFN predictions hold true, CU will finish the regular season at 8-4 ... which is about right (48%, 142 Votes)
  • Way too low. From No. 17 to No. 41? Just shows CU will have to earn the nation's respect ... again (30%, 89 Votes)
  • Sorry, but I don't give any credence to preseason predictions (unless CU is in the top 25!) (22%, 66 Votes)

Start Date: February 21, 2017 @ 10:36 am

Spring practices open this Wednesday. Thoughts on early start?
  • Fine with it ... but I reserve the right to complain if it snows on March 18th during the Spring Game (45%, 103 Votes)
  • Like it. Keep the momentum from 2016 going / If there are injuries, they will have more time to heal before fall (37%, 84 Votes)
  • Don't like it. No linebackers coach hired / Two other new defensive coaches still learning CU's system (18%, 41 Votes)

Start Date: February 20, 2017 @ 12:28 pm
End Date: No Expiry

The Colorado special teams in 2017 will be ...
  • All I know ... I would feel more comfortable if CU would hire a designated special teams coach (61%, 116 Votes)
  • A weakness. The returning starters are average at best ... and have no competition to push them (25%, 48 Votes)
  • A strength. Returning starters will improve, and the return game will have plenty of (speedy) options (14%, 27 Votes)

Start Date: February 19, 2017 @ 2:49 pm
End Date: No Expiry

  1. The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!

  2. Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.

  3. Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
