CU picks up commitments from offensive lineman Nikko Pohahau and defensive lineman Jayden Simon. Thoughts?
- All I know is that the Buffs need bodies along both lines. Even if they are both projects who don't start for several years, they are still welcome additions (54%, 189 Votes)
- Two three-star prospects (as rated by 247 Sports) in areas of (desperate) need. Yes, please! (28%, 96 Votes)
- Hate to be negative, but both players are rated as only two-star prospects by Rivals, and have a very short list of Power-Five offers. I hope Tucker & Co. are not reaching just to fill the roster (18%, 62 Votes)

Pac-12 discussing selling 10% equity interest for $500 million. Thoughts?
- Just wondering - Does anyone really think that the Pac-12 is worth $5 billion? Hard to imagine anyone would be willing to pay $500 million for 10% equity interest (56%, 121 Votes)
- Do it! An infusion of over $40 million per school would help the conference make up for recent deficiencies when compared to other conference schools (29%, 63 Votes)
- The conference should wait. Other conferences have already sold 49-50% of their equity interests - the Pac-12's value will only go up over time. (15%, 34 Votes)

How would you rate the CU quarterback corps heading into the 2019 season?
- To be determined. I would have hoped Montez would have risen higher in the Pac-12 pecking order by now, but hope springs eternal that his third QB coach in three years will bring out his best (68%, 255 Votes)
- A strength. How many schools in the Pac-12 - in the nation - have a returning three-year starter at quarterback? (20%, 74 Votes)
- A weakness. Steven Montez has failed to grow in the position, and the backups have shown to be a concern (12%, 45 Votes)

Buffs out-scored 44-25 in second half of 75-62 loss to Stanford. Thoughts?
- Buffs smoked in the second half by a team they had beaten nine times in a row. Sigh ... when does spring football begin again? (59%, 108 Votes)
- Okay. So the "five of first seven conference games are on the road" excuse is over. Let's see what the Buffs can do with some home games on the schedule (39%, 71 Votes)
- The Buffs looked good in taking a first half lead. At least CU got a road split, and that's what you hope for in conference play (2%, 4 Votes)
Start Date: January 26, 2019 @ 9:03 pm
End Date: No Expiry
Should CU recruit, as coach Tucker put it: "Everywhere there is a player, we'll be there"
- Yes! CU should be offering five-star players throughout the nation. If you don't ask, the answer is always "no". CU shouldn't use geography as a self-limiting restriction (61%, 171 Votes)
- Perhaps. I have no problem with coach Tucker and the coaches with SEC ties maintaining those relationships, but CU needs to realize it will be hard to get those players to leave the SEC and come west (33%, 93 Votes)
- No. CU, even when it was a national player under Bill McCartney, got over two-thirds of its players from Colorado, California, and Texas. Play to your strengths and don't waste resources (6%, 15 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
