Which of the most recent Buff commits do you find most impressive?
  • Class of 2019 defensive lineman Lloyd Murray. An offer sheet as long as your arm, and a 6'2", 310-pound frame to clog up the middle (56%, 199 Votes)
  • Class of 2020 offensive lineman Carson Lee. Not only did CU beat out Nebraska for Lee's services, but Lee plans on biggest recruiter at CU (34%, 123 Votes)

Buffs rout Ducks, 73-51, behind Tyler Bey's ninth career double-double. Thoughts?
  • A great win, the most complete game of the season. If the Buffs can match this effort down the stretch, they will be a tough team to beat (35%, 66 Votes)
  • Buffs were 24-28 from the free throw line two days after missing ten free throws in a two-point loss to Oregon State. Will the real Buff team please stand up? (35%, 66 Votes)
  • The win only raises CU's Pac-12 record to 3-6 - 10th place. Too little, too late. I'm already over the 2018-19 team, and ready to move on to football again (30%, 58 Votes)

SEC schools received an average of $43.1 million (to $33.5 million/Pac-12 school). Thoughts?
  • At least the Pac-12 is ahead of the ACC (for now) and competitive with the Big 12 (for now). The Pac-12 will cash in come 2023-24, and we'll be glad the conference held onto 100% ownership interest (48%, 87 Votes)
  • It's all relative. Imagine what it feels like to be a G-5 schools like CSU, who can't even dream about the $33.5 million CU is getting (33%, 61 Votes)
  • The gap is wide, and will only get wider. Unless Larry Scott comes up with some magical ideas - and soon - the Power-Five will become the Power-Four (19%, 35 Votes)

Which post-game quote from Tad Boyle rings the most true?

CU's 143-week run in the AP poll (1989-97) is longer than any other team in the Pac-12. Thoughts?
  • Goes to show how poorly the program has been run the past decade-plus. CU has some work to do to regain national respect (38%, 94 Votes)
  • Goes to show how well the program can do nationally when run well. Someone should show this stat to Mel Tucker (36%, 87 Votes)
  • I'm just surprised at the number of programs (USC, Notre Dame, Penn State, Ohio State, UCLA, et al.) which haven't had as long a streak as CU had in the 90's (26%, 64 Votes)

  1. Stuart:

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.

SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.

  2. The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!

  3. Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.

  4. Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
