CU considered a "Program Not Afraid to Schedule Big". Thoughts?
  • Happy that the Buffs are scheduling big name opponents ... I just wish that the Buffs would start winning regularly again, so that these games can't cripple a season before October (50%, 130 Votes)
  • Love it! Home-and-homes with the likes Nebraska, Texas A&M, Georgia Tech and Florida will keep CU in the national spotlight. (42%, 109 Votes)
  • Not a huge fan. Yes, it's important to schedule Power-Five opponents, but Utah doesn't have a Power-Five non-conference opponent until 2024. Which team is more likely to open 3-0 every year? (8%, 23 Votes)

Fox Sports announces that it will put its biggest games at the noon ET time slot. Thoughts?
  • It is what it is. Fox is just trying to push its Big Ten and Big 12 contracts. It's more a matter of geography than it is about the lack of interest in Pac-12 games (68%, 149 Votes)
  • Hate it. Just another nail in the coffin for the Pac-12, with the conference excluded from national exposure games by default (no chance there will be a 10:00 a.m. (MT) or a 9:00 a.m. (PT) start) (21%, 47 Votes)
  • Like it. Having big games on early will give me the chance to start the day with a big game at home or at a tailgate, and still make the Buffs' game that afternoon/evening (11%, 24 Votes)

  1. Stuart:

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.

SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.

  2. The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!

  3. Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.

  4. Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
