Linebacker Kylan Salter, brother of quarterback transfer Kaidon Salter, transfers in from TCU. Thoughts?
- Well, CU needs linebackers, and Salter has the right frame for a linebacker. He has three years to play, so hopefully he will develop into at least a role player this fall (68%, 111 Votes)
- Nice. A three-star pickup from a Big 12 rival. Also a plus that having both brothers in Boulder helps allay any concerns that brother Kaidon might transfer out after spring practices (21%, 35 Votes)
- Not super impressed. He played in seven games this past season, with all of one tackle. If Kylan didn't have his brother on the roster, would he even be recruited by CU? (11%, 17 Votes)

Offensive lineman Kahlil Benson becomes the 19th Buff to enter the Transfer Portal. Thoughts?
- I'm just glad that the official visit period is about to resume, so that we can start to focus on what the 2025 roster will look like, and not have to worry about what 2024 players were lost (48%, 101 Votes)
- Yes, Benson started the first four games of the season, but wasn't able to get back on to the field for any significant time thereafter. Sorry to see him go, but not a major loss (40%, 84 Votes)
- This one hurts. Benson was a Game One starter this fall, and, if he had returned, would have been a strong candidate to start in 2025. A significant loss (12%, 26 Votes)

Freshman QB Ju Ju Lewis signs NIL with FanStake, which helps raise funds for teammates. Thoughts?
- I like that Lewis already, as a young freshman, that he needs to build the Buff lineup if he is to be successful, and is already looking at a putting together a winning roster (42%, 81 Votes)
- Excellent news! Fanstake allows fans to pledge financial support - or “stakes” - to athletes they want to join or stay with their college team. A win/win for CU and Lewis! (42%, 81 Votes)
- I just hope that it works out, and that sufficient funds are raised. It could backfire if FanStake doesn't bring in dollars and players, and Lewis decides to go to a better funded program (16%, 30 Votes)

Are you cheering for No. 4 Arizona State (as the Big 12's representative) against No. 5 Texas in the College Football Playoffs?
- Yes. The Big 12 only has one representative in the CFP, and the Sun Devils have make a positive impression. Otherwise, it will be a long off-season of hearing how the Big 12 doesn't belong (75%, 157 Votes)
- No. I understand the logic of rooting for a Big 12 team in the CFP, but my dislike for Arizona State (and its fans) supersede any conference loyalties (14%, 29 Votes)
- No preference. I'm: a) Not interested in games not involving CU; b) Not interested in the CFP; or c) My rooting interests are not influenced by conference affiliations (11%, 22 Votes)

Thoughts on offensive line coach Phillip Loadholt and outside linebackers coach Vincent Dancy leaving CU for Mississippi State
- I understand that coaches will move on. My interest is in who will be the replacements in these two vital position groups. I hope Coach Prime has good replacements already in mind (73%, 152 Votes)
- Shouldn't this be a considered a lateral move at best? I understand both coaches have connections with Mississippi State, but isn't CU a higher profile program than MSU at this point? (14%, 29 Votes)
- Good for them. Both of Coach Prime's first year coordinators are now head coaches, so it's a good sign to have CU coaches being sought after by other programs (13%, 26 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
