One betting site: Coach Prime the betting favorite to become the new head coach for the Dallas Cowboys. Concerned?
- Don't care. Yes, I care about Coach Prime staying at CU, but I'm getting to the point where I'm not going to pay attention until Coach Prime leaves, or has a new CU contract. Let's move on! (41%, 125 Votes)
- No. Everyone who has any knowledge of how the NFL works knows Coach Prime is not a good fit for The League. Plus - can you imagine Jerry Jones being willing to take a back seat media-wise? Me neither (33%, 102 Votes)
- Yes. The history between Jerry Jones and Coach Prime is well documented. Hiring Coach Prime could be the media bonanza that Jerry Jones is looking for - and Prime could move back to Dallas (26%, 80 Votes)

With Coach Prime's contract extension unsigned, rumors persist of his leaving to the NFL (most recently, the Raiders). What is your level of concern?
- Medium. Both parties know it hurts recruiting not to have this done. I understand that Coach Prime deserves everything he wants, and CU has to watch every penny, but this needs to get done (48%, 147 Votes)
- Low. Coach Prime had his first meeting with the team, and said he was happy to be a coach while not also having to be a dad at the same time. He's staying - case closed! (33%, 100 Votes)
- High. Coach Prime and CU AD Rick George said the contract would be taken care of after the season. This just in: It's after the season. Every day it's not done is another day of worry (19%, 60 Votes)

Which of the following factoids about Coach Mac to you is his most enduring legacy?
- That he showed that you can recruit to Colorado, and that CU can win a national championship and produce national trophy winners, including a Heisman (59%, 125 Votes)
- That he turned around a moribund program, and despite starting with a 7-25-1 record in his first three seasons, went on to become CU's all-time leader in victories (25%, 54 Votes)
- That he created a rivalry with Nebraska. CU didn't really have a rivalry in the Big Eight until Coach Mac came along, and he produced generations of "better dead than red" Colorado fans (16%, 33 Votes)

Defensive back Preston Hodge announces he is returning to CU for the 2025 season. Thoughts?
- Excellent news! Hodge was a Big 12 honorable mention defensive back, even while missing four games. Hodge will help an already strong defensive backfield be dominant this fall (62%, 128 Votes)
- What stands out for me: Hodge is not only returning, but that he is returning to play for Coach Prime. Folks worrying about CU's Transfer Portal haul are missing the strong core which is returning (34%, 70 Votes)
- It's great that Hodge is taking advantage of the extra year of eligibility afforded to junior college players, but, if I'm being honest, I'm getting a little tired of six- and seven-year players (4%, 9 Votes)

CU adding to the roster by signing offensive and defensive linemen with playing experience, but little star power. Thoughts?
- If CU is going to go from good to great, it starts in the trenches. Whether they are future starters or players adding needed depth, I'm glad that Coach Prime is building from the inside out (66%, 125 Votes)
- Trying not to be too worried, but it seems like the coaching staff is missing on some of the higher-rated transfers. I had hoped that a nine-win season would help CU's appeal in the transfer market (22%, 41 Votes)
- Not concerned. The transfers who had the greatest impact this past seasons were the ones who had playing experience. Glad to see the coaching staff is following the same pattern this off-season (12%, 24 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
