The CU unit which is of greatest concern to me this spring
  • Defensive line ... Replacing all three starters - perhaps with JC's - is a risky proposition (35%, 105 Votes)
  • Special Teams ... Not even close. Still no coach; still no competition for starters (32%, 96 Votes)
  • Defensive backs ... Three starters off to the NFL, and CU plays in a passing league (29%, 86 Votes)
  • Running backs ... Who does CU have as a backup if Lindsay gets hurt? (4%, 11 Votes)

The position move which makes the most sense to me ...
  • TE George Frazier to defensive line ... CU not using tight ends, anyway, and DL can use extra bodies (52%, 124 Votes)
  • RB Donovan Lee to defensive back ... Won't play much behind Lindsay; utilize his speed as a DB (32%, 75 Votes)
  • DL Brett Tonz to offensive line ... His skill sets make more sense as an offensive lineman (16%, 38 Votes)

Thoughts on hiring Ross Els as insider linebackers coach
  • Love it! To get a P-5 defensive coordinator and former head coach as a position coach? Looks like a great move (44%, 88 Votes)
  • Like it. Has some decent credentials, but not sure about recruiting acumen (33%, 67 Votes)
  • Not sure. Anyone who says, "There is not a better town, than Lincoln (Nebraska), to raise a family" has some readjusting to do in Boulder (23%, 46 Votes)

ESPN: Buff receivers make up CU's best unit. CU's second-best unit:
  • Running backs. Lindsay et al. could have a dominant year (36%, 112 Votes)
  • Linebackers. Experience and depth will shine through this year (27%, 84 Votes)
  • Quarterbacks. Montez, Noyer and Lytle make up an impressive trio of options (22%, 67 Votes)
  • Defensive backs. Despite graduations, still the best unit on the team (15%, 44 Votes)

Start Date: February 23, 2017 @ 3:44 pm
End Date: No Expiry

CU Spring practices closed to the public
  • Fine with it. The team doesn't need to deal with internet debates over the number of dropped passes (57%, 196 Votes)
  • Close practices, but open up Saturday scrimmages. Tough to build up the fan base without access (37%, 127 Votes)
  • Don't like it. No legitimate concerns about other team's "stealing" information (every USC practice is open to the public) (6%, 21 Votes)

Start Date: February 22, 2017 @ 9:43 am
End Date: No Expiry

  1. The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!

  2. Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.

  3. Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
