A Federal Judge has issued a temporary injunction, prohibiting the NCAA from enforcing NIL rules. Thoughts?
  • Well, it's not as if the NCAA was actually enforcing anything anyway (except for programs like CU, which self-imposed penalties for minor infractions). The Wild, Wild West was already in place (56%, 88 Votes)
  • Is anyone surprised? Every Judge from Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh to this District Court Judge have warned the NCAA they can't win anti-trust lawsuits. Nothing new here (22%, 35 Votes)
  • So ... As of now there are no laws in place restricting any NIL activity? Thanks, Judge, for taking away even the semblance of NCAA control over the sport. Rich teams - go ahead and buy your lineup (22%, 34 Votes)

NCAA considering instituting a two-minute warning. Thoughts?
  • Changes in college football are coming waaay too fast. Realignment, playoff changes, rule changes ... it's all about the money (more commercials), so I'm opposed to this change on principle (40%, 56 Votes)
  • Makes sense. The NFL has had the two-minute warning since 1942. We're used to it, and it helps to add drama to the end of games (35%, 49 Votes)
  • Not a fan. First the stopping of the clock after a first down goes away - now this? When (if ever) will the powers that be realize the college game is special, and needs to stay unique (25%, 35 Votes)

The College Football Playoff Committee is discussing going to a 14- team or 16-team playoff in 2026. Thoughts?
  • Let's stop pretending that any of this is allowing equal access. Let the SEC and Big Ten form their own league, and let the rest of the country play football again (44%, 75 Votes)
  • I am not a fan. Yes, the SEC and the Big Ten have plenty of quality teams, but guaranteeing the fourth-place team a spot? So much for the regular season meaning anything (35%, 60 Votes)
  • I like it, especially if the Big Ten and SEC are going to demand three or four guaranteed slots. If the Big 12 is going to get more than the conference winner in, there needs to be more teams playing (21%, 37 Votes)

Where do you think the CU running back room rates amongst its peers in the Big 12?
  • The Middle Third. There is some talent there, but it is talent which has yet to fully prove itself over a season in Boulder. Optimistic about the future, but not ready to give the room elite status (59%, 132 Votes)
  • The Bottom Third. CU had a rushing attack which was dead last in the entire country. Hopefully the line is better, and hopefully McCaskill is healthy. "Hopefully" doesn't merit a higher rating (23%, 51 Votes)
  • The Top Third. Alton McCaskill is a 1,000-yard rusher and is finally healthy, and Dylan Edwards has proven he can score four touchdowns a game against Big 12 competition (18%, 39 Votes)

CU assistant coach salary pool reaches a record $4.65 million. Thoughts?
  • I'm more interested in whether all those checks will produce quality results. $4.59 million bought CU a 4-8 record. What will $4.65 million get us? Hoping for the best ... (55%, 102 Votes)
  • Good news. Glad that CU is understanding that you have to keep up with the Jones in paying for quality assistant coaches. Glad Coach Prime has got the staff he wants (27%, 51 Votes)
  • Not really news. The $4.65 million is a new record, but it was $4.59 million last year, so you can't really see this as much of an upgrade. And still not happy about the Shurmur/Livingston combo (18%, 33 Votes)

  1. The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!

  2. Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.

  3. Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
