Which Pac-12 game holds the most interest for you this weekend?
  • No. 14 Washington State at No. 24 Stanford ... Are the Cougars for real, or will the Cardinal bring them back down to earth? (39%, 112 Votes)
  • Arizona State at USC ... Buffs need the Trojans to lose one more conference game in order to have a shot at the Pac-12 South. Will this be the weekend? (34%, 97 Votes)
  • No. 23 Utah at UCLA ... Can the Utes maintain control of the South, or are the Bruins back? (18%, 51 Votes)
  • No. 19 at Oregon at Arizona ... How will CU's next opponent stand up against the visiting Ducks? (7%, 21 Votes)
  • No. 15 Washington at Cal ... Are the Bears as good as they looked against Oregon State, or as bad as they looked against UCLA? (2%, 3 Votes)

Colorado listed as a 23.5-point favorite over Oregon State. Thoughts?
  • About right. I can see the Buffs slowly and steadily building a lead, then cruising to a 21-24 point win (48%, 154 Votes)
  • Too high. CU is struggling on offense, and has injured stars. I see a CU win, but not by three touchdowns (47%, 150 Votes)
  • Too low. Oregon State hasn't beaten an FBS team in two years. Buffs bounce back in a big way this Saturday (5%, 18 Votes)

CU is 5-2, 2-2. Predict CU's regular season record:
  • 8-4. OSU, Arizona, and either Cal on the road or one of the home games v. Utah and WSU (61%, 258 Votes)
  • 9-3. A loss to Utah or Washington State, but the Buffs will win the other four games (18%, 76 Votes)
  • 7-5. Buffs can probably beat OSU and Arizona, but none of the other three (11%, 47 Votes)
  • 10-2. The Buffs have showed that they can play with the best. The remaining five are not the best. It's 2016, Part II (7%, 31 Votes)
  • 6-6. A win over Oregon State, and that's it. The CU coaches will find a way to lose the other four (3%, 10 Votes)

No. 15 Washington 27, Colorado 13. Thoughts?
  • The play-calling again was atrocious, and cost the Buffs a chance at a win. CU coaches squandered any chance at an upset (50%, 157 Votes)
  • The Buffs played well for much of the game against a ranked team on the road. Not happy with the loss, to be sure, but there were positives to take from this game (32%, 101 Votes)
  • Every CU point was scored by a true freshman, and there were (hopefully) no serious injuries. I'll take 5-2 with Oregon State up next, thank you very much! (18%, 57 Votes)

It's time! Your prediction for Colorado at No. 15 Washington ...
  • I can't predict a CU victory, but I can see the Buffs keeping it reasonable, probably in the seven-to-14 point range (44%, 107 Votes)
  • I fear a blowout loss. The average score of Buffs v. Huskies in the Pac-12 has been 44-13. Unfortunately, that sounds about right (38%, 94 Votes)
  • Washington will be down after losing its chance at a playoff berth, and the Buffs will be looking to make up for last week. I wouldn't be surprised if the Buffs win this game! (18%, 44 Votes)

  1. Stuart:

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.

SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.

  2. The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!

  3. Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.

  4. Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
