It's time! Your prediction for CU's first game against a team with a winning record
- Buffs show the college football world that they are for real. It won't be easy, but Buffs play a solid game and emerge with an impressive victory over Arizona State (50%, 135 Votes)
- The spread is only 2.5-points, so basically this is a pick 'em game on a neutral field. Folsom Field is the difference as CU wins a very close game late (42%, 115 Votes)
- I'd like to see the Buffs win, but I'm not feeling confident. Buffs finish September 4-0, but start October 0-1 in a hard fought game (8%, 21 Votes)
Start Date: October 5, 2018 @ 4:25 pm

Which Pac-12 game holds for you the most interest this weekend?
- Utah at Stanford ... Which team will bounce back from a disheartening loss last weekend? (53%, 141 Votes)
- Cal at Arizona ... Which team is a contender in their division - and which is a pretender? (41%, 108 Votes)
- Washington at UCLA ... Are the Huskies going to be able to run up a ridiculous score? (3%, 9 Votes)
- Washington State at Oregon State ... Is this the Beavers' last best chance at a Pac-12 win this year? (3%, 8 Votes)

Which of the following gives you the most pause about the Arizona State game?
- ASU went for 52 points last week, with RB Eno Benjamin posting 312 rushing yards on 30 carries (41%, 155 Votes)
- That Colorado is facing a team with a winning record for the first time - a team which has already beaten a ranked team this season (35%, 133 Votes)
- That the Buffs have played two Power-Five teams - and two true freshman quarterbacks - but are now facing a senior quarterback who knows how to beat the Buffs (24%, 88 Votes)
Start Date: October 3, 2018 @ 6:24 pm

CSU, Nebraska, and UCLA remain in "Bottom Ten" rankings by ESPN and CBS. Thoughts?
- Not super concerned. I'll care about these teams next fall, when they return to CU's schedule. I've moved on, and I'm not paying attention to the Rams, Cornhuskers, and Bruins (65%, 224 Votes)
- Love it! CU 4-0 and ranked, with its rivals being made fun of in national publications - it's a great time to be a Buff! (26%, 90 Votes)
- Hate it. As long as these teams struggle, Colorado will not receive the national respect it deserves. (9%, 33 Votes)
Start Date: October 2, 2018 @ 6:39 pm
End Date: No Expiry
Colorado listed as a 2.5-point favorite over Arizona State. Thoughts?
- About right. The teams are pretty even, and home teams usually get three points from Vegas. This is a close game which could go either way (74%, 281 Votes)
- Too high. If we're being honest, ASU has a better resume than does Colorado. I'm worried about this game (15%, 56 Votes)
- Too low. CU is being disrespected - again. The Buffs are at home, and have momentum. I see a strong effort from the Buffs. and victory No. 5! (11%, 45 Votes)
Start Date: October 1, 2018 @ 7:12 pm

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
