The stat which gives me the most optimism about the UCLA game:
- That UCLA is 90th in total defense (403.0 yards/game) and 114th in scoring defense (37.7 points/game) (46%, 152 Votes)
- That UCLA is 118th in total offense (319.7 yards/game) and 120th in scoring offense (17.3 points/game) (38%, 123 Votes)
- That the Bruins haven't won a Pac-12 conference road game since 2015 (ten straight losses) (16%, 52 Votes)

Colorado is listed as a ten-point favorite over UCLA. Thoughts?
- Too high. The last four games between CU and UCLA have been decided by a total of 20 points. I foresee another close game this weekend (49%, 185 Votes)
- About right. I foresee a (painfully) close game throughout, with the Buffs making it a two-score game late (47%, 175 Votes)
- Too low. The Bruins have been out-scored by an average score of 37-17 so far this season. A similar score is coming Friday (4%, 14 Votes)

CU ranked 26th in the Associated Press poll (29th in USA Today/Coaches' poll). Thoughts?
- I'm not really concerned with polls. I just care about wins - and getting to win No. 6 and bowl-eligibility is goal the Buffs need to focus on right now (61%, 223 Votes)
- Actually, I like it. Buffs need to stay focused for UCLA game. Gaining a national ranking is one more attainable goal which can be reached with a win Friday night (32%, 115 Votes)
- Don't like it. Cal was also idle, but jumped over CU and into the poll (at No. 24). CU overlooked by national media ... yet again (7%, 25 Votes)
Start Date: September 23, 2018 @ 5:49 pm
End Date: No Expiry
Nebraska (0-3) and CSU (1-4) suffer embarrassing losses. Thoughts?
- All I know: 3-0 against a softer-than-expected schedule beats the Hell out of being what MacIntyre called UCLA: "the best 0-3 team in the country" (47%, 170 Votes)
- Love it! Cornhuskers and Rams have loud and obnoxious fan bases. I have zero sympathy for the current status of those two programs (28%, 99 Votes)
- Hate it. What this shows is that the Buffs have no quality wins (and no national respect). This makes me nervous about CU's chances in Pac-12 play (25%, 91 Votes)
Start Date: September 22, 2018 @ 5:35 pm

Your interest in college football this weekend ...
- Medium. I'll keep track of results, and perhaps watch a game or two, but no obsessing this weekend (56%, 133 Votes)
- High. Even though the Buffs aren't playing, I love the sport, and enjoy every weekend (28%, 67 Votes)
- Low. When the Buffs have a bye week, I have a bye week. I'll get other stuff done, and catch up on results later (16%, 36 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
