Sophomore defensive back Hasaan Hypolite dismissed from team. Thoughts?
- We knew that attrition was coming, but you don't like to see it this way. Not sure what team rules were violated, but I'm sorry it turned out this way for Hypolite (74%, 192 Votes)
- A huge loss. CU was already looking to replace two starting safeties, and Hypolite was a potential starter. Not good news (14%, 37 Votes)
- Hypolite only played on special teams last year (three snaps on defense). You can't miss what you never had (12%, 30 Votes)

Three Buffs listed in a list of top 100 2020 NFL draft prospects. Thoughts?
- Great news! Laviska seems to be a consensus top ten first round pick, and it's good to see Steven Montez and Mustafa Johnson getting positive publicity (36%, 71 Votes)
- We'll see. Shenault has to prove he can stay healthy for an entire season, and Steven Montez ... well, he has a lot to prove (35%, 68 Votes)
- What struck me is that Oregon had eight players in the top 100 - and that CU had almost as many prospects (3) as the rest of the Pac-12 South (4) combined (29%, 57 Votes)

Which of the following post-spring game quotes do you like best?
- DC Tyson Summers: "That was obviously the most competitive situation we've been in all spring and I expect us to go out there and be able to dominate. I really do. That should be our mindset" (57%, 98 Votes)
- OC Jay Johnson: "We have a really good nucleus of skilled kids, young kids that are doing a nice job" (27%, 46 Votes)
- QB Steven Montez: "I think guys are really starting to understand how (Coach Tucker) is as a person and what he expects of us" (16%, 27 Votes)

Which player impressed you the most at CU's Spring Game?
- RB Jaren Mangham - 12 carries for 149 and three touchdowns. The true freshman is making a case to be the starter this fall (56%, 144 Votes)
- QB Sam Noyer - 13-of-15 for 195 yards and two touchdowns. His QB rating was double that of Steven Montez (25%, 63 Votes)
- WR Daniel Arias - Seven catches for 136 yards and two touchdowns. Last spring Laviska Shenault had two TD's in the Spring game ... just sayin' (13%, 34 Votes)
- DB Mehki Blackmon - Two interceptions (including a pick-six). CU is in need of improvement in the secondary, and Blackmon being effective is a good start (6%, 16 Votes)
Start Date: April 28, 2019 @ 6:56 pm

Offense shines in Spring Game, with Gold defeating Black, 55-27. Thoughts?
- A pleasant day - with 7,550 in attendance. There were no injuries of note, which is what you want most of a Spring Game. No other conclusions can be drawn of any significance (54%, 116 Votes)
- Nice game for some players, but there were some cringe-worthy moments as well. About what you would expect - every good play on one side of the ball looks like a bad play on the other side (37%, 79 Votes)
- A great game! Some great plays on offense; some great plays on defense. I'm excited about what Mel Tucker & Co. are putting together! (9%, 21 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
