How would you rate CU's chances at defeating Stanford at home on November 9th?
- Fair. We'll know a great deal more about both teams by the second weekend in November, but, at least for now, you have to acknowledge that Stanford is the better team (46%, 81 Votes)
- We'll see. I would like to say that the Buffs will take out the Cardinal, but David Shaw will have a bye week to prepare for the Buffs ... that makes it an even tougher ask for Tucker & Co. (31%, 55 Votes)
- Good. Stanford is not the Cardinal team of past seasons. Stanford was ranked 123rd in rushing offense last year, and 115th in passing defense. They are vulnerable to a Folsom Field upset (23%, 42 Votes)

Which of the following position battles on offense do you find the most intriguing?
- Jalen Harris, Brady Russell, Darrion Jones and Beau Bisharat at tight end. Will someone please step up and make the position viable in the CU offense? (36%, 85 Votes)
- Kary Kutsch, Casey Roddick and Austin Johnson. The right guard position is probably set (either Pursell or Lynott - with the other being the starting center). Who will become the other starting guard? (35%, 82 Votes)
- Tyler Lytle and Sam Noyer for backup quarterback. You never know when they'll be needed, and the 2020 opener in Ft. Collins is only 14 months away (29%, 69 Votes)

Which Laviska Shenault quote from his DraftWire interview do you like the best?
- "I'm looking forward to being a more hungry, humble and energetic version of myself. I plan on being more talkative as well. I’m focused on becoming a leader on this football team" (47%, 107 Votes)
- "I’ve been busy working on every aspect of my game. I’m getting better at my craft. I need to check every box. I’ve been getting better at everything" (32%, 72 Votes)
- "If I know the ball’s coming to me, I’m thinking touchdown. That’s what I’m thinking every play. That’s just the mindset you gotta have" (21%, 48 Votes)

Three-star defensive back Joe Perkins re-commits to Colorado. Thoughts?
- We're likely going to be in for a great deal of this for the next five months. If the Buffs go 8-4, they will hang onto more recruits than if they go 4-8. (44%, 111 Votes)
- Great news! It's actually a good thing that Perkins took the time to be sure of his commitment. He is now sure of the Buffs and Mel Tucker - welcome, Mr. Perkins! (43%, 109 Votes)
- Not news. If Perkins de-committed once, he could do it again. It's a long time between July and December. Fingers crossed (13%, 32 Votes)

Which of these quotes from senior wide receiver K.D. Nixon do you like best?
- "We are in way better condition than we have been the last two years. We have never worked out this hard. Coach Drew (Wilson) is in attack mode" (49%, 119 Votes)
- "We really love each other. There's no selfish hate, no spite. I want to block now. That's the biggest thing I fixed this year. I want to block" (34%, 83 Votes)
- "In the summer, nobody watches film. But we watch film every day. We call (quarterback Steven) Montez and say, 'Hey, I can run this route three ways.' Now he knows where we're going to be" (17%, 39 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
