CU receives a commitment from three-star defensive back Tyrin Taylor. Thoughts?
- Sounds like CB's coach Demetrice "Meat" Martin was the driving force in getting Taylor. Love this recruit - this pickup helps to give us more optimism about this Class (56%, 109 Votes)
- CU doesn't get many North Carolina recruits (one in the last decade), so I guess my first thought is to wonder whether we will be able to hang onto this recruit until Signing Day (25%, 49 Votes)
- The only two Power-Five offers were from Virginia Tech and Kansas. Not to be a wet blanket, but I'm not super excited about this recruit (19%, 35 Votes)

Which of the following statements from Stewart Mandel's (The Athletic) CU preview do you find to be the most encouraging?
- "CU is fortunate to have veteran leaders ... and is actually in fairly decent shape with at least the first stringers at most position groups" (56%, 108 Votes)
- "A shorter schedule may actually work to Dorrell's benefit ... He can use all the time he can to get to know his players, and for them to know him" (26%, 51 Votes)
- "Winning half or more of CU's games for the first time in four years would be an impressive accomplishment given the circumstances" (18%, 34 Votes)
Start Date: July 15, 2020 @ 6:29 pm
End Date: No Expiry
Which of the following Rick George press conference quotes do you find to be most interesting?
- "I think we're ready to have a fall football season ... We've been working incredibly hard to put together the right protocols ... We are ready to play" (58%, 101 Votes)
- On cutting sports: "I can’t speak for the rest of the country but I can speak for Colorado in that it’ll be the last choice that we have in cutting sports" (28%, 48 Votes)
- On being called out by CSU fans: "I’ve read on Twitter on how they feel about me, but (canceling non-conference games) was a decision our conference made and I support our conference’s decision" (14%, 24 Votes)
Start Date: July 14, 2020 @ 5:03 pm
End Date: No Expiry
CU receives a commitment from defensive back Trustin Oliver. Thoughts?
- Great news! A quality prospect in a position of need who can contribute immediately. It sounds like he'll have three years of eligibility (perhaps even four), so a great pickup! (46%, 103 Votes)
- The fact that Oliver didn't qualify out of high school, then went to two different JC's, and still wants to be a Buff ... I'm impressed at his commitment to CU (45%, 101 Votes)
- Not really news, if you think about it. Oliver was already a member of the CU Recruiting Class of 2019 ... it just took him two extra years to get to Boulder (9%, 20 Votes)
Start Date: July 13, 2020 @ 5:53 pm
End Date: No Expiry
Will you miss the non-conference part of the 2020 schedule?
- Yes. I was looking forward to watching the Buffs take down the Rams in their home stadium, and take on A&M in College Station (not to mention finally getting revenge against Fresno State!) (67%, 151 Votes)
- Not really ... because CU already has a tough Pac-12 schedule. Adding two road games to the schedule, including a likely loss at A&M, would not be the best way to kick off the Karl Dorrell era (24%, 55 Votes)
- Not really ... because the conference schedule is what matters. As we witnessed in the past few years, winning two or three non-conference games didn't get CU to a bowl game (9%, 21 Votes)
Start Date: July 12, 2020 @ 5:45 pm
End Date: No Expiry

Stuart:
I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
