Vegas odds: Colorado rated well below the rest of the conference in odds of winning the Pac-12 title. Thoughts?
- We'll have to see how this season plays out. Depending on how much practice teams can get in, and how many games are played, CU may have a terrible season ... or could surprise (42%, 81 Votes)
- About right, I'm afraid. With a new coaching staff, and no experience at quarterback, it's not hard to see the Buffs back-sliding from 5-7. No chance at a Pac-12 title (30%, 58 Votes)
- Absurd, if only due to the rankings of other schools. Arizona finished 4-8, and is in disarray, but is six times more likely to win the Pac-12? Give me a break (28%, 54 Votes)

Which quote from Pac-12 commissioner Larry Scott do you find the most encouraging?
- "I think across the country, there is a commitment to do everything possible to start the season on time and play a full season. That is our intention at the moment” (38%, 39 Votes)
- “Looking forward, those of us that are big football conferences, have a shared interest and are locked at the hip in terms of playing a full football season that starts on time" (33%, 34 Votes)
- "The sheer force, effort and ingenuity that’s going into solving some of these issues and making things safe for our students on campus coming back is enormous. I’ve got a real reason for optimism" (29%, 30 Votes)

University of Oregon: "We're opening this fall" / Oregon governor: "No large gatherings before October" - Who is going to win out?
- Still way too early to tell. A great deal can happen between now and September. Check back in a month or so - by mid-June there should be some definitive answers about fall sports (68%, 139 Votes)
- The Oregon Ducks have a home game scheduled against Ohio State on September 12th. If you think that Nike U is going to pass up an opportunity for a big win at home ... guess again (16%, 33 Votes)
- Try as schools might, the governor and the health officials are going to win out. No football in the state of Oregon in September (16%, 33 Votes)

CU signs a three-year contract extension with Learfield IMG College (including KOA radio). Thoughts?
- Good news. You certainly want the Colorado flagship school to be associated with the state's flagship radio station. Nice to see the relationship extended (63%, 106 Votes)
- Not a huge fan. KOA is there for CU, unless there is a Rockies game, or if a Bronco gets a hangnail, in which case the Buffs get bumped. Perhaps another station would have prioritized CU (21%, 36 Votes)
- Doesn't make much difference until CU upgrades the internet at Folsom ... so I can actually listen to KOA during the game (16%, 27 Votes)

The 2020 Rocky Mountain Showdown (in Ft. Collins) is now only four months away. Will it be played?
- Still too early to call. It seems that progress is being made, but I'm having a hard time right now wrapping my head around a CU/CSU game in September with 40,000 (mostly CU) fans in attendance (49%, 129 Votes)
- No. The game will either not be played (conference games only in 2020), or post-poned until later in the fall (or in the spring of 2021) (32%, 83 Votes)
- Yes. Considering where we were a month ago, I can see a path for football being played as scheduled come September 5th (19%, 50 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
