CBS Sports post-spring practices Top 25 has six Big 12 teams listed (none named Colorado). Thoughts?
- What I find disconcerting is that, in addition to the six ranked teams, CBS considered ranking Baylor, Utah and Kansas, which puts CU at ... 10th at best in the conference? Buffs have a lot to prove (57%, 72 Votes)
- Sounds about right. If you look at the rankings, the Big 12 has teams ranked 13, 14, 15, 17, 19, & 21. That tells me there are a lot of good teams in the Big 12, but no great ones (26%, 33 Votes)
- The last AP poll of the 2024 season had four Big 12 teams, including CU. The other three are back, joined by TCU, Kansas State and Texas Tech. The national anti-CU bias remains strong (17%, 21 Votes)

What is your take on the issues surrounding North Carolina's Bill Belichick and his girlfriend?
- I'm just glad that the football media has something else to chew on other than CU and Coach Prime. Like Shedeur, it's time for Coach Prime and the Buffs to put their heads down and get to work (58%, 104 Votes)
- Very much ado about nothing. It's May, and there is nothing much else going on in college football right now. Once we get to August and fall camps, this will no longer be news (26%, 46 Votes)
- You get what you pay for. North Carolina wanted a splash hire. The Tar Heels went after an old NFL coach with a 24-year girlfriend. They wanted publicity - they got it (16%, 29 Votes)

If you had millions to spare, would you become CU's biggest donor, and buy the Buffs a title?
- I'm not sure. If I had discretionary dollars, I would certainly like to become a donor, but I would have to see how the funds would be utilized. I wouldn't be writing a blank check (52%, 72 Votes)
- In a heartbeat. Ohio State bought the title last year; Texas is trying to buy the title this year. Why shouldn't the Buff Nation play in that tier? (30%, 42 Votes)
- No. I understand that college football is all about how big an NIL budget a program can build, but I prefer to see my team win the old-fashioned way, with solid recruiting and coaching (18%, 24 Votes)

Rate your level of interest in CU roster additions over the next few weeks
- High. CU just picked up four new transfer commits in positions of need, and will be hosting some high profile Class of 2026 recruits this weekend. I'm into it! (58%, 151 Votes)
- Medium. I will certainly be checking for commitments, but I'm not going to worry about official visits or Transfer Portal possibilities. It's an interesting time, but not earth-shattering (30%, 78 Votes)
- Low. I'll wait until August for the full roster list, thanks. I'm glad the outflow has stopped, but I'm not much into the drama of new recruits in May. It's May, after all (12%, 33 Votes)
Start Date: May 1, 2025 @ 4:47 pm

CU receives three commitments from three three-star transfers in one day. Thoughts on the new Buffs?
- CU's Transfer Portal needs: Offensive line - check; running back - check; safety - check. Nice to see the CU coaching staff filling holes in the lineup this early. Welcome, new Buffs! (46%, 67 Votes)
- It's early, but I'm not sure there are any blockbuster transfers still out. Oh, and I'm not a fan of CU sitting at zero in 2026 freshman commits. A good day, but CU needs a series of good days (31%, 45 Votes)
- Happy to get some new blood, what with the roster in the mid-60s in scholarship players, but I'm not sure these are, at least this year, Power Four starters. Is CU just trading backups for backups? (23%, 33 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
