100 days out from the start of the 2025 college football season, rate your level of confidence CU will post a second consecutive winning season
- Medium. It's a long way to the start of the season, but the roster looks pretty good, and CU has seven home games. If I were betting today, I would go with the Buffs getting to seven wins this fall (52%, 82 Votes)
- High. I'm not sure that CU will match last season's nine-win season, but I am completely confident that the Buffs will get to at least seven wins, going bowling again in 2025 (41%, 65 Votes)
- Low. Unless the Buffs can fill some glaring holes (running back; linebacker), CU has an uphill climb ahead. Shedeur and Travis are gone, and the Big 12 doesn't have any gimme games (7%, 10 Votes)

CU receives a commitment from four-star tight end Gavin Mueller. Thoughts?
- Great news! A commitment from a blue chip recruit sought after by Notre Dame, LSU, and Wisconsin. Nice to break the ice on the Class with a high quality recruit (61%, 115 Votes)
- I like that Mueller isn't afraid of a challenge, and I like Mueller's quote that Coach Prime is looking for a receiver to take passes over the middle. Hope this works out for Mueller and the Buffs (32%, 60 Votes)
- Not to be a negative Nelly, but Coach Prime has signed four-star tight ends before, but they don't last past spring practices. Fingers crossed Mueller is the start of a new trend (7%, 12 Votes)

CU's opener against Georgia Tech has been set for Friday, August 29th, at 6:00 p.m., MT, on ESPN. Thoughts?
- Great news! A quality opponent? Check. On at prime time on a Friday night? Check. With exclusive ESPN coverage? Check. What's not to love? (75%, 108 Votes)
- Glad that the game is not an 8:30 p.m., kickoff, but when was the last time CU got to open its season at 1:30 on Saturday of opening weekend? It's been years, if not decades (16%, 23 Votes)
- It will be interesting to see what the Big 12 does with Auburn at Baylor, the only other Power Four game that Friday night. Will the conference split viewership with a head-to-head game? (9%, 13 Votes)
Start Date: May 13, 2025 @ 4:34 pm

ESPN has Colorado's "Newcomer Class" (Recruiting Class of 2025 + transfers) as the No. 12 in the nation. Thoughts?
- This just goes to show how far the program has come under Coach Prime. Buff fans are worried about not getting more transfers, yet, on a national scale, CU is still upgrading the roster (54%, 80 Votes)
- Great news! Only two Big 12 schools made the list, with Texas Tech's attempt to buy a conference title the only higher ranked Class. Well done, Coach Prime & Staff! (29%, 43 Votes)
- Kind of find this hard to believe. CU still doesn't have a quality replacement running back or linebacker, with big holes still to be filled. Not sure I'm buying this high a national ranking (17%, 25 Votes)
Start Date: May 12, 2025 @ 4:32 pm
End Date: No Expiry
If you were to post your own post-spring practices preseason Top 25, would you include Colorado?
- Perhaps not now, but I wouldn't count out the Buffs. Coach Prime has led CU into the Top 25 in both of his first two seasons ... and I wouldn't bet against him doing it again in Year Three (61%, 83 Votes)
- Sorry, but no. Without Travis and Shedeur, and without a strong Transfer Portal class to shore up weaknesses, the Buffs have some work to do to crack the Top 25 this fall (33%, 45 Votes)
- Definitely. CU finished with a No. 25 national ranking to end the 2024 season, and has a strong lineup returning - and seven home games. CU deserves to start the season in the Top 25 (6%, 9 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
