CU athletic director Rick George on NIL: "We're going to do it the right way - the CU way". Thoughts?
- My only hope is that this will all calm down in a year or two, and CU will be seen as an NCAA leader in the field, and that will play well with transfers and recruits ... a vain hope, but a hope (54%, 99 Votes)
- Industry source: "Everyone is finally going all-in. All the ADs, all the coaches are going, ‘Holy crap, this is it' ... except at CU, which again is left behind (33%, 60 Votes)
- I'm on board. Other schools can ignore guidelines and common sense restrictions, but I'm glad to see that CU is still trying to play by the rules and avoid inducements and other pay-for-play deals (13%, 23 Votes)

Former CU star wide receiver Cliff Branch elected to the NFL Hall of Fame. Thoughts?
- It's about time. Branch had the credentials to be selected decades ago. I'm just sorry that he didn't live to see his election to the Hall of Fame (75%, 124 Votes)
- I'm just surprised that Branch is the first former Buff to make it to the NFL Hall of Fame (ten in the College Football Hall of Fame). Another 10 years or so before we get No. 2 (Mason Crosby)? (20%, 33 Votes)
- I appreciate having the old-timers get a late selection, but it's been decades since Branch played. How many in the crowd at Canton this summer will even know who Branch was? (5%, 9 Votes)

ESPN SP+ Rankings has CU as the last place team in the Pac-12, and No. 102 in the nation. Thoughts?
- 'If we're being realistic, CU would be listed as an underdog in almost every game next fall. Doesn't mean it has to stay that way, but CU's coaches and players have their work cut out for them (64%, 171 Votes)
- Hard to look at, but true. The Buffs went 4-8 last year, and lost some of its best players. The replacement are mostly freshmen, which makes 4-8 ... an optimistic goal for the 2022 season (24%, 65 Votes)
- I'm not sure which metrics ESPN is using, other than, "Let's dump on CU again". The next time CU is given optimistic press from ESPN will be the first time (12%, 30 Votes)

Pac-12 commissioner George Kliavkoff wants conference to have "opportunity to have some flexibility with respect to when games are played and who plays in those games". Thoughts?
- Doesn't matter. This is just posturing. Negotiations for the next media deal aren't even scheduled to start until next winter. Until the new playoff scheme is identified, this is all just talk (56%, 98 Votes)
- It only makes sense. The Pac-12 should be able to maneuver its schedule so as to get the most eyes on Pac-12 teams, even if it means sacrificing revenue in upcoming negotiations (33%, 57 Votes)
- Not seeing it. The media partners already have incentive to show the most attractive games at optimal times. Giving up revenue (when the Pac-12 is already behind) makes no sense (11%, 20 Votes)

Which quote from strength and conditioning coach Shannon Turley gives you the most optimism for this season?
- “I feel well prepared for (the challenge) ... I’m more equipped and can be more productive and efficient and get us to results and achievement earlier and at a higher level" (44%, 88 Votes)
- “The players know where the standard is ... There’s less installation, and there’s more competition for us the second time around" (34%, 68 Votes)
- “I take a lot of pride in it and consider myself a tremendous asset to our players and program in that aspect of injury prevention. It’s our No. 1 priority" (22%, 45 Votes)

Stuart:
I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
