Coach Prime: “It’s a struggle to run the ball. And we’ve got to figure that out because now you’re one dimensional and it’s easy to stop a team when they’re one dimensional". Thoughts?
- It's nice that the problem has been identified. The question is whether the coaches are going to do anything about it. Nothing changed after the bye week, so I'm skeptical we'll see anything new (45%, 90 Votes)
- Thanks, Captain Obvious! Only the 1984 team (which went 1-10) has averaged fewer yards per rush. Here's an idea: Try putting more than a handful of rushes into the game plan (33%, 66 Votes)
- Coach Prime continues to throw the offensive line under the bus. These are his assistant coaches and his recruits ... where is the accountability for "outside in" development isn't working? (22%, 43 Votes)

Which of the following to you is the most interesting when it comes to CU's 2024 schedule?
- That other than a road game to Central Florida (which will be good for recruiting. Thanks, Big 12!), CU's road games (Arizona, Texas Tech, Kansas) are more than reasonable (63%, 104 Votes)
- That four of CU's five Big 12 home games - Utah, Baylor, Oklahoma State and Kansas State - are former Big 12 rivals. Only Cincinnati will be a new foe for Folsom next year (25%, 42 Votes)
- We knew the Big 12 wasn't going with divisions, but also not going with pods. CU will play Utah and Arizona next season, but miss Arizona State and BYU (12%, 20 Votes)

Coach Prime: "I had a private, personal meeting with the whole offensive line. I have the utmost thought process that those guys are going to step it up tremendously". Thoughts?
- We'll see. Prime & Co. knew the line was the weak link, but not only didn't the line improve after the bye week, it digressed. That doesn't give me warm fuzzies about the rest of the season (59%, 132 Votes)
- Glad to hear it. After calling out the offensive line after the UCLA, and intimating that the current players would all be replaced, it was a good idea to have Prime meet with them and show support (27%, 61 Votes)
- Too little; too late. You can't call the line garbage and then say that they are all doing well. These young men aren't stupid, and Prime's words could hurt morale the rest of the way (14%, 32 Votes)

CU receives a commitment from junior college offensive lineman Issiah Walker. Thoughts?
- A nice first step. Nice to see Walker was a highly-rated recruit (albeit from the Class of 2020). Also like that he'll enroll in January and be available for spring. CU needs a whole new room (56%, 134 Votes)
- Certainly happy to get an offensive lineman commitment, but Walker's offer sheet - two Power Five conference schools - isn't all that impressive. Hope it works out (29%, 71 Votes)
- Ask and ye shall receive! A 6'4", 309-pound offensive lineman with playing experience and two years of eligibility? Welcome, Mr. Walker, to the black-and-gold! (15%, 36 Votes)

Colorado opens as a 12.5-point home underdog to No. 16 Oregon State (Saturday, 8:00 p.m., MT, ESPN). Thoughts?
- The Buffs managed to cover the spread against the Bruins, and I can see the same happening on Homecoming. Playing at home at night, Buffs keep it closer than double digits (44%, 100 Votes)
- Returning home, with a defense which has regained its ball-hawking identity, I can see the Buffs upsetting the Beavers, who just watched their Playoff dreams die in the desert against Arizona (38%, 86 Votes)
- Hmmm ... Oregon State is scoring over 36 points per game. To beat the spread, the Buffs need to score 24 or more. I can't see it with this offense - Beavers in a blowout (18%, 40 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
