Which of the following quotes from Coach Prime's press conference do you like the best?
- "I am truly as impatient as you are. But the young men in that locker room, they truly want it. They have not given up" (45%, 76 Votes)
- On what he hopes CU fans will take from Senior Day: "Positive hope, I wish they could only understand how close we are to being what we want to be and doing what we want to do" (30%, 50 Votes)
- “Our team is learning how to be consistent. When you’re consistent in anything in life you can be successful. We just gotta be consistent in the things that we desire to do well" (25%, 43 Votes)

Which of Neill Woelk's "takeaways" from the Oregon State game to you rings the most true?
- "Charles Kelly's defense is finding its groove" ... Six turnovers in the last two games, with both opponents held under 30 points. That should be enough to pick up a win or two (37%, 79 Votes)
- "A new play caller doesn't seem to be the quick fix for the offense" ... Minus-seven yards rushing? Well, that didn't work - What else do you got? (36%, 76 Votes)
- "Arizona will be a great test" ... The Wildcats have given up a total of 40 points in the last three games - all against ranked opponents (beating all three). Yikes! (27%, 57 Votes)

CU opens as a 9.5-point underdog to No. 23 Arizona (Saturday, Noon, MT, Pac-12 Networks). Thoughts?
- Senior Day, and the Buffs finally have a home game which is not 10:00 a.m. or 8:00 p.m. With a second straight home game, I'm looking for CU's best game in a month ... and a win! (46%, 108 Votes)
- Sigh. Another week, another ranked opponent. Arizona has been playing very well of late, and just beat up on a UCLA team which had no issues with beating the Buffs. Take Arizona and give the points (37%, 88 Votes)
- This is CU's sixth game against a ranked opponent, and the smallest line in those games. CU has beaten the spread the last two games, and will cover the spread this weekend as well (17%, 41 Votes)

No. 16 Oregon State 26, Colorado 19. Thoughts?
- Ironic that it was a poor coaching decision (passing the ball right before the half), which helped lead to the Buffs' demise. I wonder what new wrinkle Coach Prime & Co. will come up with next (40%, 94 Votes)
- As the saying goes, you are what your record says you are, and the Buffs are now under .500 in Year One. Can the Buffs end the losing streak before year's end? I guess we'll find out (32%, 76 Votes)
- I was actually encouraged by the defensive effort. Holding two straight ranked opponents under 30 points, and giving your team a chance to win, is a good place to start (28%, 65 Votes)

It's time! Your prediction for Colorado v. No. 16 Oregon State (Saturday, 8:15 p.m., MT, ESPN)
- Having Shurmur calling the plays may provide a jump start for a series or two, but the offensive line still has to block the play called. Buffs cover the double-digit spread, but this is a loss (43%, 94 Votes)
- Taking a coach who gave up a head coaching job to be your offensive coordinator, and then throwing him under the bus? Reeks of desperation. Looking for an OSU blowout, and getting to bed early (31%, 68 Votes)
- Look out, college football world. The change in play-callers may be what the Buffs need to jump start the offense, and reclaim momentum. Buffs like late night overtimes - this one's a win! (26%, 57 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
