CU at the Game Podcast – Road Trip! No. 5 CU at No. 21 Washington, 1989

In the second Road Trip segment (and seventh overall podcast of Season 1), Stuart and Brad reminisce about their first trip to Husky Stadium in Seattle, coming during Colorado’s run to an undefeated regular season in 1989. The Buffs traveled to Seattle as the No. 5 team in the nation, but were doing so with heavy hearts, having lost their quarterback and emotional leader, Sal Aunese, to cancer the week before. The Huskies, ranked 21st in the nation, were sympathetic to the Buffs’ loss, but had their own plans about how the 1989 season should enfold. Brad and Stuart discuss the loss of Sal, CU’s big win in the rain, and their memories of Seattle and Husky Stadium …

I hope you enjoy it! I look forward to your comments!

    1. It’s in the podcast companion – a separate heading, which also has the game highlights, the trailer for the Sal Aunese story, and the Bob Uecker “Must be in the front row” commercial.
