My plans for the CU Spring Game this Saturday ...
  • I'll be watching on the Pac-12 Networks or listening on the radio (35%, 102 Votes)
  • None of the above. I'll just have to read about it later (27%, 80 Votes)
  • I'll be there - even if it's at 10:30 in the morning! (26%, 77 Votes)
  • I can't make it or watch it live, but I'll tape it and watch it later (12%, 35 Votes)

Start Date: April 11, 2013 @ 7:23 pm
End Date: No Expiry

The loss of quarterback Jordan Webb for the season ...
  • Helps. Not to be mean, but Webb was not likely to be the starter this year, anyway. This will lead to more reps for the leading candidates (88%, 215 Votes)
  • Hurts. Out of the six quarterbacks in the race, he was the only one with significant starting experience (12%, 30 Votes)

Start Date: April 11, 2013 @ 7:20 am
End Date: No Expiry

CU men's basketball team in top 20 in 2013-14 preseason polls
  • Sounds great! Second time ranked in preseason ever! Can't wait for next season. (44%, 106 Votes)
  • Both polls are anticipating Andre Roberson returns. I'll be more optimistic if that proves true. (40%, 97 Votes)
  • Nice. But I'm still a football guy. I'd trade that ranking for six football wins next fall any day. (16%, 39 Votes)

Start Date: April 10, 2013 @ 8:01 am
End Date: No Expiry

The most devastating loss(es) ever ...
  • 2006 - Losing to Montana State in Dan Hawkins' debut (39%, 98 Votes)
  • 1994 - Loss to Nebraska by most talented Buff squad ever (25%, 62 Votes)
  • 1990 - Orange Bowl loss to Notre Dame after 11-0 season (22%, 56 Votes)
  • 1979-80 - Back to back losses to Drake (6%, 16 Votes)
  • 2002 - Embarrassing Fiesta Bowl rout by Oregon (4%, 11 Votes)
  • Other (4%, 9 Votes)

Start Date: April 9, 2013 @ 10:28 am
End Date: No Expiry

CU is one of only two Pac-12 schools without a verbal commitment. My level of concern:
  • Medium. No panic button pushing yet, but it would be nice to get a commitment or two ... and soon. (47%, 97 Votes)
  • Low. I think these coaches will get better recruits after posting some "W's" this fall (38%, 78 Votes)
  • High. CU has had subpar classes for years now. Until recruiting improves, losing will continue (15%, 31 Votes)

Start Date: April 8, 2013 @ 2:18 pm
End Date: No Expiry

  1. Stuart:

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.

SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.

  2. The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!

  3. Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.

  4. Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
