My prediction for the Colorado/Umass game ...
- Buffs come out angry and dominate, beat the 17-point spread (41%, 117 Votes)
 - Buffs play well early, then let the Minutemen back in, holding on late for the win (30%, 87 Votes)
 - Buffs play poorly early, then get their footing, and pull away late (21%, 61 Votes)
 - Buffs play without confidence or passion, and find a way to lose (8%, 22 Votes)

What is most important for you to see out of the Buffs this weekend?
- A win. I don't care for style points. A victory is a victory at this point (41%, 129 Votes)
 - Better defensive line play. UMass can't run (55 yards v. BC), D-Line needs stops and sacks (37%, 116 Votes)
 - Dominating offensive line. Six yards per carry; finishing drives; no sacks (22%, 67 Votes)

Start Date: September 3, 2014 @ 6:42 pm

Does the result of the RMS affect your plans for CU home games this fall?
- No. My plans to attend none/some/all home games remains the same (59%, 153 Votes)
 - Maybe. If the Buffs lose to UMass, then all bets are off (22%, 57 Votes)
 - Yes. I had hopes to see some home wins and a bowl bid. I'm not as interested in going to Folsom as I was before (19%, 51 Votes)

Start Date: September 2, 2014 @ 6:00 pm

Does last weekend's results change your view of CU/UMass?
- Yes. CU fared poorly; UMass had a "better than expected" result. I'm now nervous about the result (38%, 120 Votes)
 - No. It might not be a huge blowout, but UMass does not pose a serious threat to any Power-5 school - even to CU (32%, 102 Votes)
 - Ask me later in the week. I'm still numb from Friday night ... (30%, 95 Votes)

Start Date: September 1, 2014 @ 5:03 pm

The biggest surprise in the first weekend of Pac-12 play:

 - UCLA needing three defensive touchdowns to defeat Virginia (21%, 43 Votes)
 - Washington State's loss to Rutgers in a relative home game in Seattle (3%, 8 Votes)

Stuart:
I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
