Best MacIntyre quote from Wednesday's "Kickoff Luncheon"
- On CU's defense: "I expect us to be in the top echelon in the conference" (64%, 173 Votes)
- On Sefo Liufau's recovery: "He's way ahead of schedule" (26%, 71 Votes)
- On Chidobe Awuzie: "He's probably the best secondary player in the Pac-12" (10%, 28 Votes)

The most interesting aspect of the list of new team captains
- That Chidobe Awuzie - probably the best player on the team - was not on the list (59%, 130 Votes)
- That Sefo Liufau is on the list - another sign that his injury will not be a factor this fall (18%, 41 Votes)
- That there were four offensive players and only one defensive player chosen (14%, 31 Votes)
- That the 12-member "leadership council" concept has been scrapped (9%, 20 Votes)

CU is in the top 40 in national recruiting rankings. Will they hold?
- Maybe. It's been good so far. Hopefully, momentum from the spring will continue (53%, 157 Votes)
- Definitely. In fact, it wouldn't surprise me if the ranking goes even higher (30%, 89 Votes)
- Probably not. Many powerhouse schools only have a handful of commits, and will have lapped the Buffs come Signing Day (17%, 53 Votes)
Start Date: July 5, 2016 @ 7:50 am

Significance of the transfer of running back Patrick Carr
- Low. The Buffs are deep at running back, and perhaps Carr could see his playing time being minimized with the large group of backs in the depth chart (56%, 138 Votes)
- High. Carr performed well as a freshman and had the greatest upside on the roster. I'm also concerned about the timing of the announcement (44%, 108 Votes)

Thoughts on CU's latest recruit, defensive back Isaiah Lewis
- Hopeful. Not much in the way of offers, but he does appear to be a versatile player with speed (56%, 100 Votes)
- Nothing against Lewis, but the last three or four recruits have been lower profile (like past years), and that has me concerned (33%, 59 Votes)
- Excited. Another two-way star with good size and athleticism (11%, 21 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
