Thoughts on verbal commits lobbying other recruits
  • Fantastic! CU needs to get the word out on its bright future, and what better way than through its future Buffs? (59%, 182 Votes)
  • I'm just glad to hear that CU is back in the game for recruiting top players (26%, 82 Votes)
  • Not really news. It's been going on for generations. We just hear about it now more because of the explosion of social media (15%, 47 Votes)

Chances that Josh Scott makes it to an NBA roster this fall
  • Fair. Scott was never a dominant player in college. He will likely need to hone his skills in lower leagues for a year or two (60%, 143 Votes)
  • Good. He needs to prove himself in the summer leagues, but I believe he will (31%, 75 Votes)
  • Very good. He has excellent ball skills and a passion for the game (9%, 21 Votes)

Thoughts on adding Heston Paige to the CU commit list
  • Like it. Hard to tell with offensive linemen. Trusting the coaching staff on this one (68%, 161 Votes)
  • No-win situation. Only other FBS offer from Air Force ... but if he has a great senior season, he flip and commit to his father's alma mater, UCLA (20%, 47 Votes)
  • Love it! Good size, good lineage, and an in-state commit. All good! (12%, 30 Votes)

CU adds Kansas State and North Dakota State to schedule
  • Good moves. Regional rival and the best FCS team in the nation - works for me (38%, 80 Votes)
  • Hate the decision to play the Bison. National titles or not, playing an FCS team is a no win proposition (38%, 80 Votes)
  • I do like the idea of opening the 2024 season with ND State ... one more season not opening the year against CSU! (24%, 49 Votes)

Your rating of CU's latest commit, three-star cornerback Chris Miller
  • Good. Several Power-Five conference offers and good credentials (56%, 156 Votes)
  • Excellent. Speed and size - Miller has the makings of a shutdown cornerback (39%, 108 Votes)
  • Fair. CU has had higher rated corners not work out. I'll keep my fingers crossed (5%, 14 Votes)

  1. Stuart:

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.

SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.

  2. The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!

  3. Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.

  4. Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
