  • Not sure ... I guess we'll just wish Middlemiss the best - and hope Polley returns (70%, 168 Votes)
  • Big (and not favorable) news. The loss of Middlemiss and Polley hurts depth in an already thin unit (17%, 41 Votes)
  • Not news. Middlemiss never claimed a starting spot, and Polley didn't live up to his potential (13%, 32 Votes)

  • I like it. A team with a losing record should not be rewarded with a bowl bid (62%, 134 Votes)
  • I just find it sad that this rule is more likely to affect CU than many other Pac-12 schools (25%, 54 Votes)
  • I don't like it. Marginal teams need the extra 20 practices in order to be competitive with the rest of the league (13%, 27 Votes)

  • Colorado’s receiving corps is brimming with talent (1%, 3 Votes)

June thoughts on CU at Nebraska ...
  • Pessimistic. Nebraska may not be a power, but the Buffs on the road under Mac II tend to disappoint (45%, 72 Votes)
  • Optimistic. The Cornhuskers were 4-8 last year, giving up 50 points a game in November (and 100th in total defense) (35%, 56 Votes)
  • Indifferent. The game is still three months away. A lot can happen between now and then ... (20%, 33 Votes)

  1. Stuart:

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.

SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.

  2. The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!

  3. Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.

  4. Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
