Buffs sign junior college offensive lineman Kary Kutsch
  • Good news. Not sure if Kutsch will pan out, but it's nice to see CU picking up additional depth on the line (58%, 95 Votes)
  • Great news! A solid prospect in a position of need. Welcome, Mr. Kutsch! (25%, 42 Votes)
  • Not news. A full qualifier out of high school with no other Power-Five offers before CU ... not excited (17%, 28 Votes)

Washington joins the list of schools with a $1M assistant coach
  • Hate it. The competitive balance of the Pac-12 is being lost when some schools can pay more than others (49%, 61 Votes)
  • Not news for CU ... The loss of Leavitt was just a precursor of CU's future (45%, 56 Votes)
  • Like it. It's good that assistants are being recognized for their contributions (6%, 8 Votes)

Start Date: May 10, 2018 @ 6:36 pm

Athlon: CU's non-conference schedule 6th-most difficult in Pac-12
  • About right. I can see a scenario where CU could win all three ... or lose all three (66%, 119 Votes)
  • Too low. Two rivalry games and a perennial FCS power - it will be a tough September (25%, 46 Votes)
  • Too high. Athlon is forgetting Nebraska was 4-8 last year and CSU is (again) overrated (9%, 16 Votes)

Which national ranking would you rate as the most inaccurate?
  • CU ranked 99th-best team in the nation (11th in the Pac-12) (63%, 161 Votes)
  • None of the above ... all three are (unfortunately) pretty fair assessments (17%, 43 Votes)
  • Steven Montez the No. 53 quarterback (7th in Pac-12) (13%, 32 Votes)
  • Mike MacIntyre the No. 42 coach in the Power-Five conferences (8th in Pac-12) (7%, 18 Votes)

Start Date: May 8, 2018 @ 6:40 pm
End Date: No Expiry

USA Today has CU ranked as the 99th-best team in the nation
  • Ridiculous and uninformed. I hope this article is posted in the CU locker room and weight room (44%, 116 Votes)
  • Not interested. Any list which has CU ranked below CSU, Akron, and Old Dominion is not worthy of attention (40%, 105 Votes)
  • Hard to take, but, based upon CU's recent history, the Buffs have to prove themselves on the field (16%, 43 Votes)

  1. Stuart:

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.

SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.

  2. The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!

  3. Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.

  4. Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
